Over all it’s was a nice place. What I had was satisfying. Was greeted immediately. Which I was definitely pleased with. The waitress was patient and attentive. The experience was a bit different than an El Maguay or Mi Ranchito it does not offer chips and salsa. That’s the only downside. Other than that it’s a decent place to go.

This place has great chips and salsa for an extra 4 bucks but very good salsa. I got the pulled pork dish very good as well as the tortillas.

Sabroso is an unassuming gem, off the beaten path in the middle of St. Ann, across from northwest plaza. Upon arriving, I was swiftly greeted by friendly staff, who promptly seated me, and took my drink order. I ordered a pineapple aguas frescas, not too sweet and it was quite the treat, with strong pineapple forward flavor. The waitress, who was also the owner’s daughter, was very accommodating, pleasantly kind, very patient, and also understanding of my unique requests, she even struck up a conversation about sauces with me, when she saw I brought a personal favorite hot sauce. I also observed her going above and beyond to accommodate the request of a table across from me, where the patrons were struggling to convey exactly what they were looking for in their meal. I ordered birria nachos as a starter, which was genuinely mouthwateringly good, every bite I had was rich in flavor and spice, and had me excited for the next, additionally some delicious verde salsa and red pepper salsa was provided to add some extra character to the plate where desired. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito, quesabirria, and enchiladas de mole. The burrito had some of the most flavorful and well seasoned black beans I’ve had. The consome provided with the quesabirria was delicious, and soaked into the quesabirria perfectly, I also ordered a side of the house made mole, which I added to the quesabirria for some extra oomph, letting the quesabirria melt in my mouth, I was overwhelmed with the wonderful seasoning and flavors. The enchiladas de mole came smothered in their house made mole and queso blanco, you get your choice of meat with the enchiladas, I ordered birria with the enchiladas as well, which really paired perfectly with the mole and queso. Overall my experience at Sabroso was wonderfully memorable and I’d recommend anyone looking for a memorable experience and meal visit. The prices are quite affordable as well, especially for the superb quality, I honestly wish I could eat here everyday.

Always skeptical about trying Mexican food from other places being from Arizona. Just got basic asada street tacos and chips and salsa. Never had street tacos where the tortilla was slightly hardened, but all and all, they were good. The salsa is also on point.

Nestled in the corner of an older strip mall is a very underrated Sabrodo Cocina Mexicana restaurant serving North County, St. Louis.
When you walk in, the entrance is a third check in line/ Order line, sit down tables, and a pool table for initial impressions.
There is additional seating around the corner.
I ordered through toast on the website, and drove to the restaurant only to find out they were having issues with retrieving online orders. However, the nice girl at the counter very quickly took my order and had the order made within 15 minutes.
Hats off to the chefs and kitchen staff. Quesabirria in North County, need I say more? It is delicious, absolutely amazing for my first time trying it. I’m hooked to say the least. I’d highly recommend trying if you’re
looking for quesabirria.
The queso is great! The chips taste like a typical restaurant chip, but there is nothing to complain about.
The rice and bean side dish made my 1 yr a very happy baby for his first time trying rice and beans!
We will definitely be back.

Tried this place out while in town for work. The restaurant is very clean and I was greeted immediately. The food was great and reminded me of home. I plan to come back again.

UPDATE: I don’t know what happened. There is a complete new staff most times I visit Sabroso. The food doesn’t taste the same. I continue to go back chasing that old taste I guess. But it’s jst not good. I spend $80 for this food each visit. I can’t do it anymore. It’s too expensive to be a hit or miss restaurant. My sandwich the Pambazo is burnt, I cut it in half to share with family but we can’t enjoy it because it’s, again, burnt. My Jalisco is bland it tastes like meat no seasoning and it’s cold. Smh the girls are still really nice but the food is bad, someone has dropped the ball. I spent $80 on trash. Not to mention I waited almost 40 mins for this mess. Sabroso used to be authentic. One of the best. I dnt kno what happened but this is very disappointing.

This place is legit. ❤️
I found this place while searching for food near me. I noticed the pictures looked so my husband and I had to give them a try.
When we ordered, we were greeted by the head chef Miguel who went over some of the menu items with us. He was phenomenal, and very knowledgeable about each item. This man knows how to cook, and he takes such great pride in his food. He’s mindful of the spice level, and even without the heat — the mixture of flavors absolutely deliver.
This was definitely one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in a while.
The authentic flavors were refreshing. Everything was made from scratch — from the sauces to the steaming hot tortillas. It’s places like this that absolutely dominate and put El Maguey, Dos Primos and other chains (sadly, even a lot of other Mom and Pop) restaurants to shame — there’s no comparison.
I especially loved the tomato salsa with the Cochinita taco. The Quesabirria Consumé could have used a little more salt, but it was still amazing. We also tried the Enchiladas De Mole, and the chefs special Chicken Tinga Machete.
The Queso Fundito is a must. (Cheese, chorizo, bell peppers, poblano peppers and corn melted in a skillet and cooked to finish with a crispy bottom. Served with warm tortillas).
It’s so hard to find places that not only serve delicious food, but to be able to speak with the chef who creates these wonderful meals and hear the passion in their voices — that makes the experience truly special.

Pretty pretty pretty good. Chips, not complimentary, appeared to be commercially made. They were served warm.
The molecajete was good, but a little dry. Description said it was covered in melted cheese, but very little cheese was delivered.
Still a nice menu, and we will return.
