I really like Edendale but I felt incredibly uncomfortable when the host asked if we were having food or drinks when I asked if we could sit outside. We said we were only going to have drinks since it was a nice day out. They said only outside seating was only for dining. We passed by several other diners that were sipping on drinks seated outside.
We chose to sit outside (it was not crowded and there were more than ten tables open even when we left) and the server reiterated that we had to order food if we were sitting outside. So we ordered food and drinks. The server kept rushing us with a dessert menu and then even came by with the POS when we were still eating out dessert. I’m saddened that my friend who traveled across town to come see me had to experience that when I specifically told her it was one of my favorite spots to go to. It was a completely different experience from when I’ve gone and I have even brought another friend just less than two weeks ago.

Service and atmosphere were great, especially sitting outside with the weather being nice at night. The food was good but not great. Calamari had too many crumbs and fell apart. Their stake was not juicy and didn’t taste that good, although we ordered two(one medium and one medium rare). Their drinks were great. We also parked on the street for free, which was a plus. They also included the gratuity in our bill since we were a big party.

Really, really big space. We went for brunch and sat in the back space where they don’t have servers. The food took a really, really long time to come out. I had to go and check in on it since it was taking forever. I liked their mushroom toast but the biscuit sandwich was okay.

Very romantic setting with front and back patios. As well as inside dining area and a bar. I enjoyed my crusted salmon they ran out of trout (perfectly cooked!)and calamari. We also got potato crips with guacamole. And my husband got the chicken au jus which was perfectly cooked. He wasn’t a fanOf the puree as it was too sweet to his liking. We also ordered the white wine mussels which were amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection!

Romantic bar/restaurant with outdoor dining patio. Indoor dining is also available. Came here for a friend’s surprise engagement get-together around 8:30pm on a Friday evening and we had a group of around 20 spread across the small tables alongside the wall in the outdoor patio area. Parking was difficult – street parking may be available on the road or you’ll have to search in the neighborhoods. Credit cards are accepted. You order food/drinks at the bar and you’ll receive a number to place at your table.
The fries were crispy and a good size for 3-4 people to split. The mac and cheese’s sauce was a bit thin but I liked the baked bread crumbs on top. The calamari was the best thing we ordered and had a mild kick. The fried chicken sliders came in two and were okay. The drinks were more of the main draw, and they do have bottles of champagne available for purchase in case you’re trying to celebrate a special event. Overall, it’s a cute spot to have a date night or go with a big group.

Came on a Saturday for a friends birthday and it was busy! Fun busy! The inside tables were busy and outside was also busy. Everyone was nice and friendly! I really like how we started outside then came inside later on to an open table! Drinks were very tasty and we had fries. Recommend this place for your celebration!

One of L.A.’s old firehouse, now a restaurant/bar. The ambiance is top-notch with lots of wood, old photographs, and indoor/outdoor seating. The drinks are amazing!

Amazing place with a very special history. We got some friends together here for an engagement party and had such a great time. Staff is incredibly welcoming. A real community bar and restaurant with great food and drinks.

Bar is great! Also receive friendly service. Restaurant is similar food but would rather eat at the bar.
I order calamari for the table every time I go.
Only downside is the heavy smokers on the back patio. A guy always seems to show up to smoke his cigars and waft it into people’s faces.
