Mom and pop shop. Counter service only. A solid creemee but I always come back for the clam chowder and fried haddock roll.
The clam chowder might be the best in the state. The haddock roll I always add lettuce, tomato and onion to- it’s always cooked perfectly which means it’s a flakey and messy sandwich. The buns always buttered and the produce is always fresh on the sandwich.

I so expected more from a family-owned fish and seafood restaurant in a city like Burlington. The pluses: nice selection of fresh fish and seafood to go. This includes fresh lobsters. A selection of seasonings but most are commonly found. We referenced this as our first visit to the counter but received no orientation info or recommendations from the counter order taker. We settled on fish and onion rings and crab cakes w fries. The onion rings and fish sat in the kitchen window for about 5 minutes. Food was faintly warm. The crab cakes finally appeared. They were warm. The fries were soft and cold. They weren’t crowded or busy. Oh, not only must you order at the counter, you’ll retrieve your food when your number is called. I don’t get it. The pics show food that looks far better than it tasted.

Excellent fried fish and French fries. This was the first time we ever tried fried perch and it was delicious. I thought it would have lots of bone and there was not a bone to be found. The “fish and chips” were pieces/nuggets of white fish, not quite what I expected but they were very good. Standard tarter sauce, a bread roll & butter, and terrible coleslaw were served on the side. The coleslaw took away from the quality of the whole plate. Lovely and speedy customer service and a fun atmosphere in the restaurant. We will be returning again but will ask to leave the coleslaw in the kitchen.

The overall atmosphere is a little odd, it was nicely decorated but otherwise practically silent. However the staff were friendly. The atmosphere wasn’t our issue tho cause the food is the biggest part. The price wasn’t horrible for how much we got, but the quality wasn’t amazing. The lobster roll was the winner of everything, I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the world but compared to the rest of the food it was pretty good and for the price not too too bad. The crab cakes tasted like the stuffing to us and were very soft in texture, with little to no flavor of crab. One was fried lightly and the other was way darker in color. We would not recommend the crab cakes. The coleslaw wasn’t bad but it was quite sweet and had lots of liquid, flavor wise wasn’t bad just very sweet. We also got the shrimp roll, which was the biggest disappointment to us, it was fried shrimp in a roll. When we think of a shrimp roll we think of cooked shrimp in mayo with maybe some herbs in the roll. This was fried shrimp like what you’d get in a captains platter with cocktail sauce. The shrimp just didn’t have much seasoning unfortunately. And lastly we got the clam chowder, it wasn’t bad either however it was a bit over salted and that made it hard to eat without stopping for a drink. Overall I would say our experience was very disappointing and we unfortunately would not go again. I think the only time we would is if we really were craving a lobster roll and don’t want to spend lots of money on one.But otherwise we won’t be back.

Spent over $90.00 and was not impressed. Scallops were just ok and the lobster was a little chewy. The coleslaw was great and the tartar sauce was very good. Seems a little bit expensive for what we got. Probably will not go back.

This lobster roll was absolutely worth the money for me! I had a great lunch here, and definitely would have bought stuff from the market if I was local.

I appreciated the staff. Very polite & kind. The meal was great. I ordered the halibut dinner w/ rice/squash as sides. Also, I had the strawberry shortcake for dessert.

I would visit again whenever I’m in town.

Great place for fresh seafood! Fast service. Pictures include a fish and chips ( understatedly good scrod) and the other is sea scallops. Don’t bother driving to Maine!

The lobster was chewy and the liver stuff was gross. The rice pilaf was not edible. I guess I should have tried the lobster rolls. But the coconut shrimp was great! I would not go back

In the middle of Vermont, it’s difficult to get quality seafood.
When I want to treat myself, I come here to get the largest order of fried oysters and belly clams I can eat.
Also a fantastic spot to grab a quick ice cream with the kids.
