Trying Indonesian food during my visit in Atlanta. It was good. I would recommend ayam bakar Bumbu rujak for spicy lovers!! The grill chicken is covered with plenty of spicy Bumbu rujak. The chicken is smokey and juicy!
My kids really enjoyed the mie ayam bakso. The noodle is very thin, the chicken is chunky and so flavorful. The bakso is also homemade, not store bought. It’s also come with fried wonton a.k.a pangsit goreng.
We also try their empek2, batagor, and kwetiau goreng. It’s so so in my opinion. I’m really disappointed with batagor. The tofu is stuff with so little fish paste and it’s super dry. It’s also come with pangsit goreng which have very little chewy meat on the inside. The peanut sauce is very sweet and over powered the whole dish.
It’s self service restaurant where you get your own drink and utensils including napkins. The spicy sauce and sweet soy sauce is also available on the side. They also provide the food containers for the leftover that we want to bring home on side.
The owner is nice and friendly. We order the food in cashier/counter and they will bring the food to the table.
They also have mini shop for Indonesian snacks or seasonings.
For the payment, they accept any cash form and charge 3% for all credit cards.

If you’re looking for authentic, cozy, Halal (handcut), and absolutely DELICIOUS Indonesian food, look no further! The food here was incredible and came out fresh and hot. Not a single dish disappointed. The owners & staff are all so kind and welcoming – some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were also very accommodating and answered any and all questions I had. There’s also a sizable musalla if you’re out and need to pray. I will definitely be back (many times) with my friends and family.

We were in Indonesia for over a month and were craving Indonesian food now that we are back in the US and this place sure hit the spot! We stopped by here on Saturday and they were having a special where you pick and choose from over 10 dishes for $18.00 for 1 plate. We tried a little bit of everything and everything taste just like what we remembered in Indonesia. So good! They also have menu of different items you can order. We ordered their special coffee and dessert and those were good too! Love it! Will for sure stop by here again! Highly recommend!

Wow where do I even begin. We walked in late afternoon on Saturday and were greeted graciously by the owners. It was our lucky day because they were doing their weekend special where you can choose from a variety of different dishes and load them up on your plate. The owner was very kind to explain what each dish was. We are pretty new to Indonesian food and this was the best introduction one could have asked for. We tried every dish that was laid out on the table and were blown by the taste, complexity, and care put into each dish. It truly felt like the meal was home cooked with love and care. I can’t name all the dishes we tried but know that every single dish was phenomenal. I can’t wait to bring my family here. Seriously if anyone is curious about Indonesian cuisine, try their weekend special. What a treat!

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Ibu’s is so comforting and really felt like eating in your uncle/aunt’s kitchen. You order up at the counter and they bring to you, there’s also a mini store with clothes and grocery items to browse through when waiting on food. The owners are so sweet and very kind in giving explanations on food.

Roti- very good, nice and flaky with a mini sauce that went with it.

Mie Ayam- lovely with a light flavor plate, with slightly sweet undertones.

Sate Pandang- meat skewers in sauce with fluffy soft rice(?) blocks. Really great curry sauce that came with it, spice was really good. If you need more, they have a great chili sauce.

This place is deserving of all the love and support, cheering them on and can’t wait to bring more friends next time.

@ibukitchenatlanta is the newest Indonesian establishment on Buford Highway. They offer very authentic Indonesian dishes. Atmosphere is homey; the owners are kind. We ordered the 2 dishes below. The restaurant also offers buffet lunches and they sell goodies inside the restaurant as well. They’re still in their soft opening phase so please come support!

Kwetiau Goreng – stir fried flat rice noodles with eggs & vegetables. Similar to Thai’s pad see ew but maybe on the sweeter side.
Pampano bakar rujak – grilled fish over spicy sauce. Very good.

So delighted to find authentic Indonesian cuisine in Doraville. I used to travel frequently to Indonesia for work so I can say this place hit the spot. This is a place we would drive hours just for a meal. The owners were so hospitable and made it feel like you’re a guest in their home. We will be back here often.
Bonus: there is an also an Indonesian grocery store and dessert shop in the same complex.

After having Ibu’s Kitchen only twice, I find myself thinking about it so often and I can’t wait to go again. Not only does the food taste delicious, it’s also soul-nourishing in the way that a loving home-cooked meal is. Walking into Ibu’s kitchen is like walking into a beloved family member’s home who has invited you for dinner. The owners are so kind and more than happy to curate a suggested order for you if you don’t even know where to start. Ibu’s is a must, especially if you’re looking for halal food!!! I got the Soto Betawi with chunks of lamb and I highly recommend!!
