UPDATED DEC 2025 – quality is improving

After 10 visits—everything you need to know.

Brown sauce dishes are unbearably salty. (Mongolian beef, brown stir frys, Kung pao). Avoid! I’ve been here where every person seated around me complained their food burned their mouth it was so salty. Recently they changed their orange chicken sauce and it’s more citrusy and less salty. Now can recommend this!

Tea service is delightful. Beautiful teapot and honey and lemon with small spoon. High quality tea brand.

Sushi rolls are very big. Honestly there difficult to fit in your mouth they’re so big. Overall taste is decent!

Fried rice has a taste/smell like lighter fluid. Stick with white rice. White rice can be al dente at times, but generally good.

The chicken entrees are basically foodservice chicken nuggets with vegetables and sauce. The experience ranges from moist and crispy to dry and spongy depending on the day. The nuggets are the same boneless wings nuggets in Sandhill Cafe. The Sweet and Sour chicken and Orange Chicken are good though! Just provide feedback if the quality isn’t right. The staff are eager to please.

Pho and Seafood soups can be somewhat bland or over salted depending on the day.

Desserts:
– Banana ginger crème brûlée. It’s creamy and tastes like premium ingredients. The ginger banana combo is a bit of a surprise at first.
– Chocolate cake thing is very rich but comes out cold like it came from a foodservice box. Ask for it to be warmed up.

Food quality can be inconsistent. I’ve had food comp’d on my bill half the visits due to it being dry, salty, hard, etc. That said, it’s improving and I haven’t had any recent quality issues. The waitstaff are eager to serve you well.

Dishes I recommend that have minimal quality issues:
– Pork Bao Buns
– Honey Walnut Shrimp
– Pot stickers
– Sweet and Sour Chicken
– Orange Chicken

Service is very good! Food preparation time is fast.

If you’re a regular they’ll notice and remember you. ❤️

Great that it’s open until 1-2AM!

For the local area food was ok. I have had exceptional Chinese food in many areas of the country including very authentic China town experiences. If you do not have these experiences then the food might be really good to you. This is our first time here and consistent with my rating system 3-stars means I will give another try. We had the Seafood Fried Rice which as decent, but rich in garlic. The other dish was Orange Beef, ordered spicy. It fell short on all aspects having little spice and less orange. Sauce was rather runny. We may have chosen dishes that aren’t Lucky Dragons specialties. Will try again later. Price was par to expectation.

We decided to stop in for a bite as we heard some good things about the Lucky Dragon.

The ambiance was pretty good. The seats were a bit close too one another but the location doesn’t allow for a lot of extra space. The bar area was decorated with various Asian decor, which was laid out nicely. There is a very large screen that cycles through various pretty scenes, which is a nice addition to the room. The location was clean and didn’t give any concerns for cleanliness.

The service was great and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The pace of service was good and it was obvious she was being attentive to drink levels.

The food was good but not great. The Kung Pow was flavorful and contained a good mix of various things. The beef was tender enough with some bits that were a bit tough that required some caution when swallowing. The Kung Pow sauce was flavorful but towards the end of the meal became a bit overpowering and salty. The Pad Thai was not good. It was flavorless and the noodles were mushy. The combination of chicken and shrimp don’t seem to work together and I would recommend just getting the chicken, if you get the dish.

Overall, I would say if you really need some Thai, then it will do in a pinch. I will most likely not go again but I could decide to try something different to give it another shot.

The service was absolutely great, she answered all our questions. The wait for the food wasn’t worth it. The pho had too much salt, and the other dishes lacked flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it at all and other people around us also complained about the food.

The ramen was fantastic. We also got pad thai which was plentiful and spicy, but you can ask for it to be milder. The servers were kind. My only complaint was the tea is $6 and I suspect it’s per person because they didn’t give extra cups.

This is inside Gun Lake Casino (next to high limit room). It’s a nice atmosphere (recently opened). However, the sushi was just so-so. In my opinion, they don’t have experienced staff rolling the sushi (not enough filling, too much rice, tough seaweed paper, & “over-rolled” for lack of a better term.) Prices are a little high for the area (since you’re helping to pay for their new hotel). Service was just mediocre.

UPDATE May 2025: (Downgrade from 3 to 2 stars). Service is still lacking significantly. Don’t waste your time dining in. Food is still not great. Sushi is way too much rice with not enough filling and lo mien is nothing to write home about. Better restaurants in the casino to try.

The lo mein was sweet like a dessert, no amount of soy or spice could fix that, the sushi was rolled by an amateur fell apart picking it up,the pho was like colored water the rare beef was non existent the noodles were the best part and they sucked. I think this place needs to find a good chef or close. if your looking for decent food the burger bar atleast knows how to cook a burger sort of…

Service was good it was slow inside and the manager who was clearly sick and coughing should have went home or not came in to share her cold with us.

Gun lake whats going on? May want to reopen as a deli or hire a real chef. And so pricey wow 200 bucks for a meh meal and only 2 people had an aduly beverage.

Definitely do not recommend, a vending machine in japan serves better food.

I don’t understand the bad reviews on the pho. It is a bit pricey, but with a little fish sauce and Sriracha it was excellent. FYI the large is definitely LARGE!

This was generally a good place for a quick bite, however, the food was cold when it came to the table and the “Hot and Sour Soup” was THE WORST I have experienced. The soup was thick, tasted like fermented soy bean paste and did not even come close to resembling hot and sour soup. The service was good, and our waiter was a sweet lady.

Microwaved dogfood might be better than this. I’ve had pad thia all over the state, this is hands down the worst. Had sweet and sour pork, pretty sure it was microwaved left overs from the buffet. Do not recommend.
