First of all, the place was full of smoke due to a lack of proper ventilation. I ate at the Naperville location and the wings were very lightly seasoned. While ordering, I clearly asked the lady to keep them wet with extra sauce. When I informed the guy at the register that the wings were not seasoned properly, he just said sorry and still charged me for extra sauce. I don’t mind paying, but it’s frustrating when the job wasn’t done correctly in the first place. This kind of service will only bring a business down. I have the bill if needed.

Visited the Hangry Joe’s Naperville location with a group of 10. The food itself was just okay nothing memorable. The wings were under-seasoned, so I politely asked for some sauce on the side. The owner reacted like I’d made an unreasonable demand and then charged an extra $1 for it, which felt unnecessary and unfair. We could’ve easily sent the wings back instead.

Things didn’t improve from there. When we asked for plates, I said we needed six and got a strange, uncomfortable look, as if that was somehow excessive.

The restroom was poorly maintained no tissue paper, the sink was clogged, and on a snowy day there was no wet floor sign. My kids nearly slipped, which is unacceptable.

Overall, average food, but the attitude made the experience unpleasant. Customer service matters, and here it was the biggest letdown.

When I eat here I order the chicken and waffles. The chicken is always good and I’ve never had any issues with it. However, the waffles have consistently been very hard each time I’ve gone. Because of that, I’ve stopped ordering here altogether. Also, they only provide one syrup for the entire meal, and any additional syrup comes at an extra charge. Overall, the chicken is solid, but the waffles and syrup situation could definitely be improved.

Tried Hangry Joe’s and it absolutely delivered. The chicken was hot, crispy, and well-seasoned without being greasy. Heat levels are legit, so if you like spice, you’ll be happy. Portions were solid, everything came out fresh, and the flavors were on point.

Service was quick and friendly, and the place had a good vibe, casual, no nonsense, just good food done right. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving hot chicken.

Highly recommend.

First time here and was very happy. All chicken is halal which is a huge plus not just for obvious reasons but from a quality standpoint. I had their signature chicken sandwich and an order of the chicken and waffles. I ordered my sandwich mild spice and was the perfect amount of heat. The waffle fries were seasoned and tasted delicious. The waffles were incredible and not dry. The batter used resembled a funnel cone. Portion sizes were excellent and the prices made for a great deal. Had to gonna k again and try the spicy garlic chicken nuggets , fantastic and spicy

Passed this place recently and was eager to try it, it was amazing! The Korean soy garlic nuggets were delicious!! Also came with fries and rice and was a good sized meal. The side sauce was also delicious! The staff was very nice and the place was clean. Will definitely be coming back!

Coming through the area on the way to somewhere else, and picked this place by Google random. Sounded good and the place was nice. Plan and maybe order ahead-it seemed to take a long time, over 20 mins, for our food to be prepared. We didn’t expect that or maybe we would have gone elsewhere. Everyone was waiting and it seemed normal for the regulars–and in the end, the food tasted great and we got back on the road and made our destination…a little later. So what.

Also, the soda machine was not operating, though we were fine with water. They offered cold bottled drinks at a slight upcharge.

Was recommended Hangry joes by many people during our trip to Naperville.

When we called to place a pick up order, we were told they can not take our order. This was very disappointing to be honest.

We placed the order online, which wasn’t easy either. Once we plug in our card details, we weren’t able to place the order.

Once we finally got our food, it was pretty good. Definitely underestimated the spice level. A medium was very very spice. Be careful.

The food it self was really good. Kids enjoyed the loaded Mac and cry. The Korean wings were pretty good.

Even though Nashville style chicken is very common, I would still recommend Hangry Joes.

If you love Really spicy food, this is the place to come to.

They need either a warning on their menu that there is no non-spicy option or they need to make their mild selection actually mild.

Being from Indian descent myself, I thought I could handle medium spice. We got one dish which was mild and the other one that was medium.
Mild spice turned out to be medium and the medium spice level turned out to be pretty spicy actually.

My recommendation here would be:
Loaded fries

There is no real mild option here.
That is my only complaint.

Otherwise, the folks who run this restaurant seem like pretty good people. Service is good and food quality is good.
Side note: In my opinion, they could use some more liveliness in the place. I felt like I was sitting in the library when I was there.

Go support this local restaurant. Just be ready to have your stomach burn from the inside out

First time visiting. As soon as I walked in, there was a noticeable smell of heating oil, which wasn’t the best first impression.

The digital menu setup is a bit awkward — it cycles between screens, making it hard to take everything in, and there wasn’t a static menu available to look through at my own pace.

The restaurant was very quiet and I appeared to be the first customer of the day.

I ordered the chicken burger (sando) and upgraded to the meal deal for $4. Visually, it looked fantastic and the flavours were very good. My only minor critique is that the chicken was slightly overcooked, but presentation-wise it was spot on — easily 5/5.

One piece of advice for the restaurant: the glass doors and windows really need attention. They’re the first thing customers see, and while the tables and seating were fine, the glass lets the overall impression down.
