I tried the Baja Shrimp Taco and the Baja Fish Taco today, and wow—this place instantly brought me back to California (San Diego style tacos to be exact). Since moving to South Carolina, I’ve really missed the authentic Cali flavors and the variety of Mexican food, but Califas nailed it. Fresh, flavorful, and done right.
It honestly feels like a little piece of home, and I’m so glad I finally found a spot that hits those West Coast vibes. Even better, it’s only a few miles from my new office—so this is about to become my go-to. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Cali-Mex tacos here in Greenville!

I had an amazing experience at Califas! Their potato tacos were super flavorful—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The chicken taquitos were just as delicious, crispy on the outside and packed with great taste. The sweet plantains were a perfect balance making them a great side to the meal. The quality of the food really stood out, and you can tell they put care into their cooking. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty, authentic comfort food!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Califas! This place has always been my go to spot for birria tacos. The food here is AMAZING! & the service as well! They’ve moved 5 minutes down from their old location to (1010 woods crossing road) & it’s just a beautiful as the last one. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for great food & great service !

Everything tasted great. I’m just not used to flavors being so strong. I got the Birria Quesadilla. It was super tender and delicious, plenty of food, a bit too rich in flavor for me. I also ordered the street corn and it got a 10/10 from me. It was so, so very good.

Love stopping by when I am near. Best birria tacos!! Staff is always nice upbeat and ready to serve. It feels like they love each customer that walks in the door and their food is excellent. I haven’t gotten a single item that I did not like they have everything you can think of from larger plates to smaller à la carte they even have desserts! I highly recommend the churros and Lola’s Turon (not pictured but did get on a previous visit) Also the Lola’s Lumpia is probably one of my favorites and literally the only place I know of where I can get lumpia!

We bought out 1/2 the menu I think! We had to try almost everything. It smells delicious when you walk in. The Heavenly Birria comes with 3 tacos filled with slow roasted beef and melted cheese. Get that fresh cilantro & onions and salsas over at the fresh bar.
The street corn – YUM ! Get that!
And you MUST get those loaded fries! You MUST get the loaded fries! I said it twice.

Incredible food and incredible service. The food was phenomenal. We got the birria tacos, grilled cheese, pho and empanadas.
Serving size was decent. But I prefer quality over quantity any day. I was full after the tacos and a few bites of empanadas. My dad and husband finished their meals and split empanadas and were comfortably full but could have eaten more if needed.
All of that to be said 10/10 I definitely recommend and will be back asap. Actually tried to go again last night but didn’t want to seem too desperate

If y’all didn’t know, it doubles with Daily Bread Deli. I was able to try something new. The Birria Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
This thing was fantastic. Ordered it with a pickle spear and cilantro and onions. Could it have used a bit more cilantro, sure but that’s preference. All the flavors is what I was wanting and took me back home to the border. The consume was delicious as well.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a cookie as well. The Smores Cookie was pretty great!
Will definitely be back to try the other side of the menu!

Great family owned restaurant with bold flavors and HUGE portion sizes. The Birria tacos were good but I doctored the consume with lime juice, onion, and cilantro. These toppings are on their salsa bar which is my only complaint. I wish we had known we needed to purchase chips in order to try the salsa bar.
Other than that we will be back to try more of the menu items!
