Went here for breakfast. The menu said my and my boyfriends plate was $15 each because we got the same thing. When I got the bill, it was $30 each, not including any add ons like drinks or hashbrowns. The service was terrible. Had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a box and my bill. It wasn’t even busy, they only had three tables including us and one of the tables left. The waitress decided to go talk to some regulars instead of helping us. Terrible experience. The worst is having menus lie about the pricing. No reason to spend over $60 for breakfast for two people when we didn’t get anything extravagant. I would give this place 0 stars but apparently I can’t leave a review unless I put 1. The food was good so at least the kitchen knows what they’re doing. But we won’t be back, ever.

The food and ingredients are of the highest quality but with that said you get what you pay for so it is probably the priciest breakfast in the Northwoods. It’s really good food but I felt like I had a 25 dollar snack as opposed to a hearty breakfast. If you have the expendable income come here and eat it up. If not there are cheaper options in the area. With that said I don’t know if any restaurants on the island are worth it anymore I’m willing to bet most of these places are getting priced out by high property rentals.

Island Café in Minocqua is an absolute gem! I ordered the Greek omelet and it completely exceeded expectations. I honestly never realized how much variety there could be in feta cheese until this meal—the feta was outstanding. Creamy, flavorful, and clearly high quality, it elevated the entire omelet to something special.
Everything was perfectly cooked, fresh, and comforting in that classic café way, but with an extra level of care and flavor that really stood out. If you think you’ve “had” a Greek omelet before, think again—this one is worth the stop all by itself. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This place is on point for omelets and pancakes. Omelet was loaded with toppings, unlike most places that skimp.
Pecan pancakes were unlike any.
Staff had an awesome energy that felt good to be around. Julie and Jen were constantly smiling while not missing a beat.
Keep it up Island Cafe, we’ll be back.

We were immediately seated on a Sunday morning. The table was clean and the server greeted us immediately, asked for our drink order and gave us menus. The items in the display cabinet looked delicious. Our server was awesome. I had the Smoked Salmon Omlete with a side of cream cheese and an everything bagel. My husband had eggs benedict and a side of gravy with a biscuit. It was all delicious and we cleaned our plates.

Cute little local cafe with breakfast and lunch options and espresso drinks.
We had the “Build Your Own Omelette” with Ham, cheese, Spinach and mushrooms. The veggies were very fresh and the omelette was HUGE! Emphasis on the largeness of this dish. Holy moley! Not only is it GIANT they also offer it with many different toast/bread options or pancakes. Since I don’t eat carbs ( = Death) I got a dinner salad instead which they did charge me for. But it was beautiful, like a piece of art. But, the omelette was so MASSIVE that I didn’t have room for the salad. They were nice enough to offer a to go box and I had it for lunch.
Definitely would recommend this place. It has a home-style feel with fresh flowers on the tables. A very nice touch.

I came to this joint on my recent stint in the WI area. This restaurant is located right off the strip and offers a cozy atmosphere to the small town it resides in.
It was quite busy the morning we dined in for breakfast. I ordered the smoked lox plate which proved satisfying. The salmon was smooth and buttery w/o a strong smoky flavor. Philadelphia cream cheese and a small salad w/an orange slice accompanied the dish to cleanse the palette.

Delicious! One of the best Greek Salads I have ever had with the shrimp and same with the avgolemono. As well as the service being top notch the location is perfect.
