I was excited to see fried eggplant as a topping (again rare outside of the Tri-State)! I was disappointed in the quality of it (very burned/hard). Other than that small hiccup this place is legit!
Despite the 30 mins wait time, this place didn’t disappoint.
Our service was excellent and made for a better experience.
We had the pizza, coal fried ziti for entree and mozzarella for appetizers.
The portion sizes were huge and we had enough leftovers for the next day.
Glad to have found a quick bite in the hood!
Great pizza, friendly folks.
That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice, which made the overall experience more pleasant. I probably wouldn’t come back just for the food, but if I’m catching a movie nearby and need a quick bite, I might grab the pasta again.
We ordered the prosciutto and goat cheese pizza but had to get it on gluten free crust for my allergy. The pizza ended up being more than $21 and only came out to be 12 inches big. Tiny.
So not only were we up charged for the crust, which I understand these days, but it was significantly smaller than a pizza the same price.
But the even worse part was, as you can see in the photo, that the toppings lacked a great deal and most of our pizza was just crust. Literally the pizza was so bare it was comical this was an $21 pie. There was barely any prosciutto.
And it was so overdone and crispy we couldn’t even eat the parts without a little bit of cheese or we’d break our teeth.
Needless to say we won’t be coming back and we highly suggest if you get the gluten free pizza for take out, check the pizza before you leave bc the lack of actual pizza toppings and blank space would have yielded a send back if we didn’t think we were going to be scammed over when we left.
Again high hopes and really disappointing and look forward to finding a better gluten free option in the area next time.
We went for lunch, and were greeted with a perfect number of customer/server ratio, with a few gentlemen seated at the bar contentedly eating and drinking while watching a game on a not too loud television.
We selected a table and received very attentive and professional service from both staff and management (the family who own the franchise, I believe) and selected two lunch slices of pizza and a split Caesar salad for both of us.
The food arrived in a timely fashion and was… pretty great, but not excellent.
Specifically, the Caesar salad had too much dressing anf the pizza is not quite there – meaning, on every aspect of “pizza,” (sauce, crust, cheese, toppings) it was four stars out of five.
Management informed us because it was our first time visiting, we were entitled to their Italian beignets served with honey.
These were excellent and highly recommended.
We both ate with a coke for me under $25.
The restaurant ambience was good, and the restroom was clean.
All in all, a pretty great restaurant, with excellent service which my wife and I would return.
