The only place we consistently go in Warsaw for fish. Their spicy tomato fish soup is to die for, and they have the best szledz (pickled herring) for my money. It’s served in a jar sort of ceviche style. Epic. Small and down to earth, they have a very decent wine selection as well. Only seasonal, menu always changing. A great local spot!

We go every week or so and I think there maybe was one time when I didn’t really like the taste of the dish? Which is perfectly fine when you try everything they have so often, it’s not always to your taste:)
The food is very tasty, the prices are restaurant-level but so is the quality & the size of the portions. The only drawback is the smell, which sometimes is strong since the kitchen is kinda open, so your clothes might smell afterwards but it comes off quickly.

Amazing, original meals every week. This is among the best fish restaurants in Warsaw I have visited. I strongly recommend Lokal na Rybe.
An update to my previous review with some photos and text after a recent visit. My opinion is that each dish at Lokal Na Rybe is a testament to Bartosz’s creativity and mastery in elevating simple ingredients from the sea into extraordinary experiences. The restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking exceptional tastes in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Great cosy place, where you feel like home thanks to provided service. Almost. Because the food is simply exceptional and I hardly believe you can eat something even slightly comparable at home. The best cod ever eaten (oranges, Christmas spices), but first: surprising, super delicious cold herring soup that uncovers truth that we tend to forget nowadays: the secret of unforgettable food doesn’t lies in super rare ingredients. It comes from mixing common food you can eat on daily basis in the way so far unimaginable to you. Oh, and churros – perfect accent at the end.
VERY recommended to everyone. Must-taste for all fish lovers.

Wonderful little fish restaurant. The staff are very kind to this non-Polish speaking visitor. Excellent chowder and salty creamy oysters. Super draught pilsner beer. Highly recommended.

Chef Bartosz and his staff put a lot of heart in the place and the food – and you feel it. Place itself is simple and cosy. Great for all sorts of going out for a dinner either with friends or couples. Bartosz changes menu each week, picking from all sorts of seafood and except that vast majority of dishes were great, there is ALWAYS a new gem that surprises and makes the visit special, no matter if you are here 1st time or multiple times like we are 🙂 Sometimes you can buy some extra takeaway stuff like marinated fishes, special honey. Obviously they serve good well priced wine and craft beers too. Service is excellent and super friendly and you can often talk to Chef Bartosz who has a ritual of going out of the kitchen to have some quick chats with his guests on how they like the food etc. They make reservations and buy food based on number of guests they are planning to serve so you can be sure food is always fresh and in fact done especially for you 🙂 Sometimes you have a chance to try something special as Bartosz likes to test (for example, Sea urchin 🙂 ). Food is really well priced given it’s a seafood. Simply speaking, I cannot imagine being a seafood fan and not knowing this place.

Great experience. High quality, fresh, home made, natural dishes. Service is very personal – they don’t treat systematically as just another customer. Will come back.
