Had pretty low expectations…but ambiance and flavor profile were quite good!

3 of us ordered:
kosho jacuzzi $19
roadhouse IPA $11
avo dip $17
hamachi $28
disco fries $24
skirt steak $42
pork shank $56
eggplant $34
mango rice $16

It is on the pricier side, so it can definitely add up. Also, service can definitely improve. We did go later in the evening, about an hour/hour and a half before closing, and service was minimal. I could imagine during peak times, the experience could be a bit rough.

Parking on site.

We were really looking forward to our visit. The restaurant had great reviews. It is physically inside the Tea House Hotel. The restaurant has that cool trendy vibe witha great atmosphere.
The service was polite and efficient but very rushed. It feels like you’re just being processed through the assembly line. I can’t really blame them the place was busy and it was a Tuesday night.
The food was good but not great. The chief is trying to create innovative dishes however just doesn’t hit the mix. The Branzion was a little dry and had a Thai inspired sweet and sour sauce which absolutely over powered the taste of the fish. For Branzion less is more. The braised short ribs were ok but lacked fall of the bone tender quality you expect when paying a premium price.
With the rest of the items we ordered we had the same opinion good but not quite the 5 stars we were hoping for.

We recently celebrated our anniversary dinner at Valley Goat. It was our first time, and our server Francine really elevated our whole experience. Francine was personable, attentive, and gave us amazing recommendations as it was our first time at the restaurant. Francine even recommended the order for our food to come out, and gave us the option of holding off on putting a few items in to see if we still had room. We definitely didn’t have room, but we put in the rest of the items anyway because everything was so good we just wanted to get a taste of it all!!! Highlights for us were the spicy hand roll dip, goat empanadas, and disco fries. At the end of the meal, we decided to go for the chocolate passion fruit semifreddo and it did not disappoint. Francine was kind enough to add in a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and it was a must paired with the decadent brownies that accompanied the semifreddo. We truly loved all of the 8 dishes we tried, you really can’t go wrong with any of the options here. Thank you to Francine and everyone at the Valley Goat for such a delicious experience!!! We will be back

Oh my god! We need this in the Bay!!!! Came here for dinner and loved the vibe – lively, modern, and great for sharing plates. We ordered a few veg starters and everything was well done. The eggplant was flavorful and the goat milk bread was warm, soft, and addictive. Perfect spot for celebrations with family and friends. Would come back to try more.

The food, tapas style, was generally good. The goat empanadas starter and the shrimp salad were probably better than the Yucatán pork belly & tomato, which was not bad but I feel was not very memorable — pondering for a few moments, I think the Yucatán pork belly & tomato could use a little extra kick. Yea, I think the first two plates had their own unique flavors, and so were memorable.

Finally, the spiced apple pancake was good — I usually don’t have pancakes but that was not too sweet, and so I ended up finishing my half.

In case someone wanna get the pork shank, it is not on the lunch menu — only the dinner menu has it (as of Jan 2026).

Service and atmosphere and vibe were all very good. There was hand lotion in the restroom, which was nice.

Overall 4 ⭐️ seems fair. I think if the food can be a tad elevated, it would bring my rating close to 5 ⭐️

Btw this restaurant is part of the treehouse hotel.

I have been to Valley Goat 3 times. Is it perfect? No… but my wife and I still feel like it’s worthy of a 5/5. There are some solid dishes and drinks from top to bottom. The price point is better than some tasting menu but it’s not cheap. The parking used to be a pain but not there’s free valet. The atmosphere inside and out is pretty solid within the grounds but it is still a funky location. I need to try the brunch but overall I like this place and it’s nice to see this chef with a restaurant so close by.

This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in the South Bay. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, not a single miss. My 2 sisters & I went during brunch. The only issue we had was that they claim their plates to be “family style”,but when we were served the pork belly plate, it came with a singular 3 inch piece of pork belly & plenty on heirloom tomatoes. Kind of ridiculous considering the plate was almost $30. Everything else was 10/10 though.

I recently moved from Chicago and the food scene there was the best. Finding this gem in the Bay Area was incredible. Everything was delicious. The server was so helpful in explaining all of her favorite dishes to us! We went to celebrate a holiday dinner and the only thing that would have made it top notch was holiday music instead of Tupac (but that’s a personal preference haha). Highly recommend and I’d definitely come back here again.

I was super excited when I discovered that my favorite Chicago restaurant opened its sister location here in Sunnyvale and I’ve already been back a couple of times. The space itself is gorgeous! Filled with plants, warm lighting, and a vibrant, modern feel.

My favorite dishes so far are the crispy quinoa + tuna poke salad. I love the crispy quinoa so much that I’m seriously tempted to learn how to make it myself (it’s that good).
I also tried several other dishes: the empanadas, scones, matcha tres leches, and the potato crepe (available only during weekend brunch) that one was deliciously crispy and full of flavor.

That said, I will note that the portions tend to be on the smaller side, so if you’re going with a group or want to leave feeling truly full, it’s good to plan for multiple dishes.

I will definitely come back again!

Excellent job Mary-Anne and Manny, thank your incredible team for making it a special night for us! Keep up the good work!

Reservations are highly recommended! This place is amazing as well as their food, drinks, ambiance, and people. Yall be nice and patient to the staff, ok? Great vibes for date night too, picturesque campus both day and night!

Like our Phones their menu is updated, except seasonally! They had blueberry pancakes for brunch but is now apple! This time we came for dinner and had their pork shank, shrimp salad, goat empadadas, spicy handroll dip and avocado dip with chips. I wish all their sauces came in a bigger container- I could drink the entire thing (it’s THAT good)! For the greens we had their wood-fired sprouted cauliflower, sautéed green beans with cashews. Highly recommended.

Will definitely be back to try more of their seasonal items! Stay blessed Valley G.O.A.T (truly Greatest Of All Time! )
