An Allston institution if I could say so. Their veggie burger and vegan tacos are fantastic. I’ve been here a few times and have never had a bad experience. They also do a great pour of Guinness. Very pocket friendly too.

Harrison was the best bartender I’ve ever encountered in Boston. He has the most friendliest vibes and took his time to explain everything on the menu. He shared insights on the many different beer selection on drafts. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to all of my friends just because of his awesome service.

I LOVE The Ave. I have been going here for over 10 years. Same yummy burgers & cold beer. Super convenient right off the green line. Make sure to look out for different burger specials and events. I like my fancy cocktail as much as the next girl but this is not that. It’s a dive bar. Have a lil fun.

What time you go really does matter in terms of the atmosphere, but no matter what it’s been a great experience. Not a dive but feels inspired by one. The servers are good and the bartenders know a lot about the beers they offer. Great food and drinks for a phenomenally cheap price. The street corn is not mentioned enough. Two people: two alcoholic beverages, an app, two burgers with an upgrade to waffle fries was $60. That is unheard of in the Boston area.

I fundamentally do not understand what people like about this place. This is the same caliber of drink offering as at any other bar on com ave but the food is drastically worse. I ate, genuinely, the worst veggie burger of my life here. I would maybe understand the appeal if it was the only act in town but Hopewell is doing the same thing better at the same price point a block away. If you wanted an actual dive bar, instead of one that performs the aesthetics of one to wealthy college kids, the Sil and The Model are both within a ten minute walk as well.

Best bar in Allston! I got lucky to step in when a rep from Bent Water brewery was having pop up with Agganis and Thunderfunk IPAs. Got some swag too. Taco was awesome too.

The food and cocktail I had were okay, but the service made up for it somewhat. I was able to find a seat quickly and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient, and I overall had a good experience despite the food being just okay.
