El Saborcito is one of those local spots you gotta try!
I ordered 2 Grilled Saborcitos, 2 steak tacos, and 2 aguas frescas. They were out of the Jamaica drink, so I tried the pineapple instead and it was trash.
The rice in the Grilled Saborcito was mushy and overloaded with butter, which is strange because I’ve never had Mexican rice taste like straight butter before. It completely threw the flavor off. The chicken was mushy, seemed undercooked, and had absolutely no seasoning. It was bland and hard to even finish.
The steak tacos were just as disappointing. The meat had no seasoning at all not even a pinch of salt. No flavor, no spice, nothing. Just plain and dry.
As for the pineapple drink, it tasted artificial and watered down. Definitely not fresh or refreshing like you would expect from an aguas frescas.
I honestly don’t understand the high ratings because my experience was terrible from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
If you’re searching for a place where every bite feels like a celebration, look no further than El Saborcito. Tucked away but bursting with flavor, this spot delivers an authentic dining experience that leaves you craving more.
I decided to try their choriqueso and a steak taco, and let me tell you, it was a feast for both the palate and the soul.
The choriqueso was an absolute showstopper. Served piping hot, the melty cheese perfectly complemented the bold, smoky flavors of the chorizo. Each bite was indulgent, with just the right hint of spice to keep things interesting. Whether you pair it with chips or scoop it up on its own, this dish is a must-have.
Then came the steak taco, and it was nothing short of perfection. The steak was cooked to tender, juicy perfection, seasoned to highlight its natural flavor without overpowering it. Topped with fresh cilantro and onions, it had a perfect balance of zest and savoriness. The soft corn tortilla tied everything together, creating a taco that was simple yet incredibly satisfying.
El Saborcito’s commitment to authenticity and quality is evident in every bite. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a spot to treat your taste buds, this is a restaurant you’ll want to revisit.
Final verdict? El Saborcito is a flavor-packed paradise that deserves a permanent spot on your foodie list. Do yourself a favor and dive into their menu—you won’t regret it!
