I went here to introduce my friend to Colombian food and we were both very impressed. Delicious and freshly made empanadas. Our bandeja dish was very filling. Prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and the space was small and intimate with nice decorations. I am absolutely coming back here if I crave Colombian food in Bridgeport.

Today we visited El Pueblito to celebrate my 28th Birthday. We have been coming to El Pueblito for years for their fantastic Columbian food.

This evening I had my wife, parents, and grandfather with me. We started with a few appetizers including some empenadas and tostones. The empenadas were nice and crisp and the tostones come with this very flavorful salsa.

For an entree I ordered the El Bandejo del Pueblito which is basically a “one of everything” meat dish which comes with steak, chicken, sausage, and pork. Each entree came with rice and beans. My wife loved her chicken tacos and everyone else at our table enjoyed their food and said they’d return with us next year.

The only issues I have with this location is that the servers do not speak much English and sometimes it’s hard to communicate with them – and there always seems to be a fruit fly flying around the table. However, the friendliness of the staff and quality of the food overshadow these minor inconveniences. I would recommend anyone looking for a classic Columbian dish visit El Pueblito Restaurant.

I had one of the best Mojarra Frita from this place. The flavor, the crispiness of the fish, everything was perfect. When you first walk into the restaurant, it feels like the ones in Colombia that I’ve visited. The food tastes exactly the same. It’s always amazing to have food that matches. This restaurant is truly a gem. I can’t wait to be back.

The only downside (which is not the restaurant’s fault) is that finding parking is difficult. It’s definitely worth it to eat here or order take out.

I’ve spent a lot of money with this business…FOR YEARS. Tonight I was treated horrible–I placed an order and they did some really crazy stuff—from customer service to the order, to the quality of the food. Honestly, I rarely eat out because of people not safely handling food & the quality of it— but after tonight. NEVER AGAIN
zero stars

It had been a long time since we visited this place but like last time it didn’t disappoint. There was probably more food than anybody could eat, but plenty was accompanied by delicious! We went there on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of people there already. The service was a little slow and I think it was due to the types of food that we ordered (some dishes are a lot more elaborate than others). If you love tradicional latin-americas food, this is the place for you. The “Bandejas” are a true Smörgåsbord of food. It might be a little on the pricey side for a large family but a great place to take your significant other.

Food was excellent. We had the sancocho de gallina (hen soup) and also the beef chaufa rice. Empanadas were a great appetizer choice. Rodrigo was our server who was excellent.

At the moment you step in, you’ll feel like you’ve traveled to Colombia!
I liked the decorations, the Latin music and the welcoming friendly waitresses. I’ve ordered the “Arroz El Pueblo” which appeared to be the most delicious Spanish paella I’ve ever had.

At this point I’ve had most of the dishes on the menu. The soup of the day is my favorite choice along with their massive salad. Everything washes down well with a fresh Sangria. Next, I’m trying all the empanadas.
