A great place for a casual dinner out with a nice vibe. Burgers are about $20 and a bit underwhelming. The patty is slightly undersized, though the bun quality is decent. The appetizers were very good.
Unfortunately, I’d been looking particularly forward to an ice cold beer with my burger after a hot summer day and it just barely met the threshold for cold and it was warm within about 10 minutes.
All in all, it wasn’t terrible but I’d consider other alternatives before returning here.

This restaurant is in a strip mall, with a busy parking lot. You walk into the bar side, which on a Friday night was very crowded and very noisy. You have to walk through the crowd to get to the restaurant podium. We had reservations, and were seated immediately. Our server, Jenna, pleasantly arrived to take our drink order. A complimentary plate of fried bread with a pub cheese spread was served. We ordered the baked clam for an appetizer. Not the nest we’ve had, but not the worst. A nice crust on top, with chopped clams in the mixture, alon with pieces of bacon. My husband ordered the Old Street Chicken, basically chicken cordon bleu. He chose a salad instead of soup and fries as a side. He really enjoyed the batter fried chicken, covered with ham and Swiss. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and chose soup, French onion, along with rice pilaf as a side. The french onion soup had a dark, rich broth, and was delicious. The shrimp was stuffed with a crab meat mixture and very good. Jenna provided great service, we never had to ask for a drink refill. The menu had enough of a selection to peak our interest for us to return and try.

We were a party of 4 for lunch. No wait for a table though the restaurant began to fill up.
The menu was vast so we all found something to try. It was nice to see that a regular burger was 1/2 lb. and was served with fries, onion rings and Cole slaw. Our waiter was attentive though he did forget a couple of items. Food portions were good and everyone enjoyed.
There were no games for paying with a credit card.
I’m sure we wouldn’t hesitate to dine here again.

I have been a regular customer at The Old Pub for a few years now and this resturant is amazing. The service is too notch and the food is always spectacular. It is the perfect place to chill and eat, sometimes it can get a little loud, but it comes with the territory of being a great place to drink and watch sports with friends.
I look forward to returning here soon to eat and relax.

We were just looking for cocktails (2 people) and a burger, not gourmet, so a friend suggested Old Street. Ample parking is a plus and we walked in and sat at the bar which is where you land when you first enter. This was a slow time, so we can’t comment on service when it is busy. Christina was behind the bar and provided pleasant assistance. The slightly worn, old school vibe of the place was comfortable for us. We had a straight burger platter which was huge and it came with fries, Cole slaw and pickles, and our other order was for a liverwurst & onions on rye that was a special, served with potato salad (great), slaw and pickles. The dishes were delicious, well prepared and abundant. A couple of pumpkin martinis and an IPA finished us off with no hope of room for desert. This is now on our list of places to revisit.

Old Street has always been a favorite of ours in Smithtown. The waitstaff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is what I would call comfortable pub style. Drinks and table bread come out right after sitting down. So many great appetizers, from baked clams to hot Bavarian pretzels. All/most entrées come with soup or salad, the French onion is excellent. Some personal favorites are the Chicken Saltimbocca and Chicken “Old Street,” but never tried a bad dish here. Great drink specials as well!

Went on a dinner date with my husband.
Peter, our waiter, was so sweet and the food was delicious.
The fish and chips had a perfect crisp. The lobster bisque soup had a yummy spicy taste and my husbands onion sandwich dip was on point. The chicken wings were also finger licking delicious.
Oh and my Bikini Martini rocked!

Meh…. food was not good. Ordered the Beer Battered Fish and Chips, French Onion Soup and Buffalo Cauliflower. The fish was not that fresh, the batter was strangely thick and super greasy. The chips tasted old and had this weird sweetness to them. Took a few bites and couldn’t finish it. The French Onion Soup had an extra thick layer of cheese that you could not pull away from the bowl and was hard to eat. I was not a fan of the flavor of the soup either. The Buffalo Cauliflower was a special. Cold (all the food was cold tbh) and soggy.
The server was friendly, but never asked me if anything was wrong when she saw I only ate a couple of bites of my meal.
The place was clean and the tables were well spaced. It’s a shame about the food, but unfortunately I probably won’t give it a second chance.
