Thai food lover, beyond Pad Thai traditional dishes. Food here was very good holding to classic Thai food forms. The red curry chicken was very good especially for northern Michigan. The spicy levels are not too extreme. I had medium which seemed to be the equivalent of some grilled jalapeños. Atmosphere was quant and cozy, even in the middle of February.

So this is a real treat to have something that sets the rest apart. I always get the green curry and my husband loves the red potato curry. We’ll be lifetime customers as long as we live here.

Overall, the food was good. Dinner portion sizes were quite large, we had leftovers. Had to wait quite a bit for a table. When we were seated, we found the service to be subpar. The waitress was rushed, didn’t welcome or answer any questions, and showed no signs of respect towards customers. Food was priced higher than the service and taste delivers. Overall, would only come back if no other options in the area were open.

We were surprised to find the rating to be 4.4 when we visited. Thai Orchid definitely deserves a higher rating. The food was great, it came quickly, the restaurant was clean with a casual friendly atmosphere. If you are looking fir Thai, you should go there.

I was hoping to have a great dinner here with all the great reviews. When I arrived the lady seemed annoyed that I wanted to dine in so I ordered an appetizer which was decent for a fresh roll and pad Thai to go. Once I got back to the hotel it had zero flavor and no sauce was in the bag. 15 bucks for basically noodles.

Everything we had was delicious! I had the Tom kha gai with the spicy level 5. The broth was delicious and vegetables were fresh. My entree was the pad thai with the protein being more vegetables. Spice level 4. Everything was fresh and Spice level were spot on.

Came to this restaurant after going to the Pour and Bar across the street and leaving because of an extremely limited menu . So glad we did . Service was very good. Restaurant was crowded but we were able to get right in .
Pad Thai Chicken and Beef Drunken Noodles were fresh , hot and delicious. Just the right spice at medium .Just the right portion , no take home necessary ( however would have been nice to have left overs ) not sure what the other people were eating but they were going home with a lot.

Wonderful little shop in down town. Great spring rolls and crunchy rolls. Masman curry was full flavor and an excellent portion. Variable levels a spicy available which makes it great for all. We had chicken and vegetarian options. Park and eat, then enjoy the nice walk through the wonderful town of Petoskey.
