So let me tell yall… hallmark needs to get over here and I need to always keep a book in my car, because this delicious bakery is a great place to read a book. My niece was bragging on the sweets and she didn’t lie. The brownie is big and is the perfect combination of brownie meets fudge.
Right next to the Mumford library and the little park the recently built right across the street.

TLDR: As of now, give it a try only if you want to. Grand atmosphere, watery drinks
Food: NOTE: I only tried their coffee and none of their bakery goods. A basic mocha is just that – basic. It’s foundational. It’s simple.
The coffee part of this establishment needs improvement to be on par or better than local competitors.
All drinks SEEM to be served macchiato and syrup is drizzled on the side of the cups for appearance instead of actually flavoring the drink. The shots were watery – meaning they were poured too quickly. The mocha was just milk with some light flavoring of chocolate and coffee.
Service: The workers were nice and knew their product but nothing special. Average. Each drink took about 6 minutes to get out. Too long for the types of drinks in my opinion.
Atmosphere: Goodness! What a coffee shop and bakery! This place has potential if they master the basics of coffee.
It is beautiful inside and welcoming. Situated on the square helps with its atmosphere. (Additional props in my book for the cool LOTR swag hanging around .)
I am willing to give this place another shot down the line but I would rather pass on them currently. Here’s to hoping they master the basics.

Finally tried their cinnamon rolls this weekend and OMG!! They were most delicious cinnamon rolls I have ever had and they are huge. Plus I’m hooked on their pumpkin spice latte. So far everything I have tried has been amazing!!!

Such a cute little bakery! The decor is super cool, and the baked goods are delicious! The Italian Herb and Cheese bread was insanely tasty, and I loved the fluffy salted chocolate chip cookie! Additionally, I ordered several dozen cupcakes for a baby shower, and they did an excellent job with the design! This bakery far exceeded my expectations! I live a good distance away but will definitely drop by anytime I am near the area!

I have been a weekly customer here pretty much since they opened. I love it, and the chocolate chip cookie is truly one of a kind! Have never had anything here that was not delicious. Great folks that run it as well with a wonderful staff. I highly recommend Mount Zion Bakery to everyone! I am writing this review as i eat a chocolate chip cookie from there! If you don’t like this then you just simply have bad taste.

We walked in with a cup of tea in the bakery and asked if it’s okay we’re in here with a cup and she told us while rolling her eyes “ I guess so” and proceeded to give us a dirty look so we left politely saying we didn’t feel welcomed then she proceeded to get customers to harrass us outside -0/10 experience and our first time coming here. My mother knows the owner and she’s very kind I didn’t expect this treatment.

I’m from Seattle, so you know I love my coffee. I get to visit family in Tennessee and my favorite coffee shop to visit is Mount Zion Bakery. Their cold brew drinks are a great blend of strong coffee and sweetness. Not to mention their muffins are the best thing ever. To the people who left one star reviews, you guys suck.
