for one, why do they not have any drinks on their pickup menu even though you pay before you come?
second, i call the store twice and no pickup, yet i text the owner on facebook and i get a reply right away saying they are busy. i go into the store, there’s two tables full. that’s it lol
maybe like 4-5 people at each one.
yet they couldn’t answer the phone at the main bar.
my Fried green tomato BLT came with zero flavor and way too much breading, which looks like chicken breading. i also subbed my side for soup and still got tots.
Ever since they moved to the nice side of town instead of the eastside they’ve been with terrible service. The owner is rude and talks bad about that side of town. What a great restaurant owner right? anyway, look at this disgustingness they called a fried green tomato. lol.
The arancini balls were warm but not hot and had a sweet jam flavor that didn’t quite land. The harvest salad was fine and the tomato bisque had an unexpected texture. The main course was steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, and seafood linguine. The former was bland, especially the potatoes and green beans. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but was closer to medium. The seafood linguine should been renamed shrimp linguine. While the flavor was well-rounded, the description clearly stated “lump crab, sauteed shrimp, and scallops” so 2/3 of the plate was missing. Finally, the desserts – chocolate cake and lemon gateau – were both tasty but dry.
The ambience was going in the right direction but not quite complete. Literally. There were half assembled bar stools tucked in a corner and a power drill sitting on the bar top.
On the positive side, the staff was wonderful, very accommodating without being overbearing, and the cocktails were well prepared.
Overall, the menu description set a high bar that the plated food failed to meet. Nothing bad but nothing great – but at fine-dining prices, one expects the latter.
Need a place to celebrate a milestone event like graduation, wedding, or birthday? This place is perfect.
Do you have no idea what you want or need in life, let alone for food? Again, this place is perfect. The staff will be able to provide you with recommendations and information that will allow you to leave the restaurant feeling like you just made the best food related choice of your life. They are also highly accommodating to food allergies and sensitivities. Each time I have left here I look forward to what I want to try next time.
Can’t decide between indoor eating, outdoor eating, or kind of in the middle? Again, they have you covered. Even the bathrooms are clean enough you could probably eat in them if you really wanted.
Afraid someone asked you to go out to a restaurant with them so that they could deliver bad news in a neutral place? The quiet and cozy atmosphere will instantly deter any sane human from creating a scene. This space is a quiet break from the noise of daily living. Great for getting a little work done for remote workers, students, and double-taskers. There is a parking lot right next to the building with free parking, so it is easy to get in and out.
I highly recommend giving this place a shot!
❤️
From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—something that’s becoming rare these days. The staff clearly cares about what they do and about the people they serve, and it shows in every fun sincere interaction.
The food is consistently excellent—thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and made with pride. You can tell this is a business that puts heart into their work, not just checking boxes or rushing people through.
. They show up, they treat people well, and they deliver quality every time. Lexington is lucky to have places like this, and I’ll happily continue supporting them and recommending them to others.
Keep doing what you’re doing—you are appreciated more than you know!
Love the new location
