The front desk lady was so incredibly welcoming and personable. An elderly woman came in and she was SO patient, kind, and friendly to the woman. I just had the most amazing customer service.
Ive grown up in this area, my dad is south East Asian and we used to have to drive to belaire for decent pho. This was the BEST pho I have had in years. The flavor was balanced the meat was delicious and thin. The spring rolls were so good that we ordered a second helping! I highly recommend. Good service, good food, and good people! I love it!

Dined in with my family of five after hearing good things about this place, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
• The spring rolls were overcooked and did not have any vegetables inside.
* Regarding the Chicken broccoli dish, we asked the server if it was possible to substitute Lo Mein noodles instead of rice. She told us she would check first and let us know, but unfortunately she never came back to confirm whether it was approved or if there would be an extra charge. We later found out on the bill that there was an additional charge, which would have been helpful to know beforehand.
• I politely asked if it was possible for my child to have rice noodles with beef not as a soup (we know them as silver noodles), similar to a lo mein style but with rice noodles instead. The server wrote the order down but did not confirm whether it was possible or clarify the request.
When the food arrived, the special order came out as regular pho with rice instead. I let the server know we did not order rice and again explained that we asked for rice noodles, not soup/Pho. She quickly took the plate back to the kitchen, and we overheard her telling the cooks that we “didn’t want rice.” The chef made an audible sound of frustration, which made me feel uncomfortable, as it was never my intention to cause trouble or have the dish remade for my 9-year-old.
On the second attempt, the dish came back as soup again, and the plate was dropped off without explanation before the server walked away. We were never offered drink refills during this time. Another staff member did stop by to check on us, at which point we asked for to-go boxes and decided we were ready to pay and leave.
While paying, I calmly mentioned that the order had been incorrect twice, sharing it more as feedback for future reference — encouraging staff to fully listen and confirm orders rather than quickly responding with “there’s no problem.” Unfortunately, I was repeatedly told “there’s no problem” without acknowledgment of the concern as I explained what had happened.
I truly respect young adults who are learning and working, but the overall interaction felt dismissive. As we were leaving, the table was cleaned while staff looked out the window toward us and laughed, which felt disrespectful.
I’ve included a photo of the rice noodles with beef — we removed the broth since my daughter did not ask for soup.
I hope this feedback is taken as a learning opportunity to improve communication and customer experience in the future.

I’ve come here for many years and I was told ownership changed 2 years back, however the recipes are exactly the same (original owners stayed on a while to teach the recipes). I can assure you this is true. Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks available (smoothies, Vietnamese coffee, Fresh Coconut juice, Thai Tea, Freshly squeezed lemonade and more). I highly recommend ordering your food using the number next to your meal. Enjoy!

I had car trouble and ended up stopping right in front of this place during a very stressful period in my life. I was already overwhelmed, and this situation only made it worse.
The owner, Serhio, came outside to see what was going on and to ask if I needed help. But he didn’t stop there he invited me into his place, offered me a drink, and gave me a moment to breathe and calm down.
This may not be a typical review about food or service, but to me it means much more than that. It speaks about the kind of person he is and the size of his heart. In a moment when I truly needed support, I received kindness from a complete stranger.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after spotting Lucky Cafe Pho in a small shopping center in the older part of The Woodlands near Grogan’s Mill. It feels like a well-kept secret, mostly known to the locals — and what a great find!
The food was excellent — fresh, piping hot, and packed with flavor. I had the Char-grilled Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli, and my wife enjoyed the Tofu Vermicelli — both beautifully presented and delicious. They also offer a good variety of vegan options, which is a big plus.
Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The staff made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and cheerful. Despite the small parking lot, we had no trouble finding a space.
Another bonus: you can pay with Toast, which made checkout super fast and easy.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving great Vietnamese cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!

Had such a lovely dinner at Lucky Cafe today , the food service and ambiance was top tier . The restaurant staff was very inviting and had good energy . I chose to try the pho combination and edamame and a Thai tea for desert . Everything was exceptional. Will return soon Alex your Spanish is great !

I called to place a simple to go order and the manager kept arguing with me. I wanted to order what I ordered last time for same price that I had in person earlier in the week, but would not allow me too!! I requested 3 x to place my order. He kept arguing with me!!! Very disappointed in the behavior instead of allowing me to order or elaborate how the order could be adjusted just kept arguing. Poor customer service period!!!! Beware…. the girls are far more friendly and helpful as staff.

From what I gather as a first timer who never heard of the this place before… I thought wait so this is a Chinese spot? But don’t judge a book by its cover ladies and gentlemen. This is a bonafide legit Vietnamese restaurant in sheep’s clothing. First off it’s already hard to find decent Vietnamese food in woodlands or spring but to call it “Lucky Cafe” puts this under the radar even more so! But here I am to say to everyone reading this review you are in fact lucky to have found a good eat.
Lucky Cafe is in a quiet shopping strip in the Woodlands. Another surprise… You’ll be caught off guard since there isn’t an Asian auntie/uncle who will wait and provide service to you…(common in most pho spots) rather you will meet some very nice El Salvadorians will make sure you are taken cared of. They from what I heard are the new owners while the original owner(s) still cook.l for the business. Customer service was great. Also a plus for those who speak spanish and have a hard time understanding the menu since they can translate for you.
Quality of food! The pork bahn mi with an egg is crazy good! I highly recommend ! I even remember the order number #5.

I will be coming back to try the spring rolls since I forgot to get them. ( I ended up ordering two sandwiches instead!)
