Stepping into The Spice Palette is never anything short of spectacular. From the initial greeting to the food hitting your table, the courteous and welcoming staff are quick to ensure that you have a pleasant experience. I have been here multiple times, but twice just before closing (once a half hour before the end of lunch and another time a half hour before closing at the end of the day). Neither time was I discouraged from sitting down for a meal. My food wasn’t rushed, and it came out just as perfect as any other time. While I could have managed my time better and gotten there earlier, I never felt like I was a burden for coming in so close to the kitchen closing. The staff were just as pleasant as ever!

For those who are new to Indian cuisine or have difficulty with spice, the staff are always more than willing to help you choose the right meal to suit your taste. I’ve brought a few people here for their first taste of Indian and they all decided they wanted to return after the first few bites! No need to dive right into bold, new flavors (unless you want to). There are great introductory dishes to try!

As far as the food is concerned, I haven’t had a meal leave the kitchen (or even seen one for that matter) that wasn’t presented with care. The quality control in the kitchen shows a passion for creating flavorful and unforgettable dishes. If you’re unsure of something, be sure to ask because it may be possible to adjust it to your preferences (especially where heat level is concerned). My last visit had me order the Madras Chicken and a side of honey ginger naan. Previously I’ve ordered the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and Malabar prawns (no longer on the menu). Each one of these dishes was a great choice. The only regrets I’ve had so far was when a platter of sizzling tandoori meats passed by on the way to a table that wasn’t my own. Definitely consider any of the tandoor dishes if you’re just beginning to explore the menu!

Overall, this is a gem on the CT shoreline. It’s fair priced, delicious, and approachable for just about anyone. I always find myself planning my next visit here, however I’ll try to be there more than a half hour before closing next time!

Best indian food I’ve ever had, a little on the pricier side but really worth it. Highly highly recommend. I had a spinach curry with paratha and rice on the side. It was genuinely one of the best foods I’ve ever had. Service was a bit rushed but I believe it’s cause it was late at night.

Came in here for dinner on Friday expecting a wait and was immediately seated!

Food was fantastic! I can now specifically vouch for the quality of their chicken curry, chicken normal, pepper chicken, and butter chicken! I’m confident that is a large enough sample size to assume everything else is good too.

Overall a fantastic place to sit down for great food, or order ahead and pick it up!

We recently hosted a birthday party for 25 guest at Spice Palette and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Planning a large event can be stressful, but the owner and chef Lijoy made the reservation process seamless.

We were seated in a private spacious section which has beautiful ambiance. This was given to us to decorate with birthday props prior to the time of the event. ( really appreciate ).The layout allowed everyone to mingle comfortably without feeling cramped, which is often a challenge for a big group.
we opted for a pre-set menu. All the appetizers and entrée dishes were delicious but the dessert moong dal halwa was a standout. It was clearly a hit with the whole group.
We will highly recommend this place for nice dineout or family event. Thank you for making our day special.

We had high hopes for The Spice Palette Indian Cuisine, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food was too bland and lacked authentic Indian flavor. It’s really not worth the visit, especially if you’re looking for a true taste of Indian cuisine.

We ordered several items:
• Paneer Pakora – It was just okay, nothing special.
• Schezwan Fried Rice – This was the biggest letdown. The rice tasted stale and seemed like it was just sautéed in ketchup with some vegetables. It had none of the bold, spicy flavors you’d expect. Even though they mentioned over the phone that it would be spicy, it was far from it—honestly, it was not pleasant.
• Papadi Chaat – This was the only item that was passable, but even that was just a one-time try at best.

If you’re in the area and craving Indian food, I would highly not recommend this place. The dishes simply don’t live up to the name or expectation of Indian cuisine.

This was actually the first time my husband and I had Indian food, And it was a great first experience! The staff was friendly and helped us decide what to order by giving suggestions. The food was so good! I especially love d my butter chicken, the non and my salad. My husband likes things a bit more spicy, and he also enjoyed his meal! We will be back, and will recommend the spice palette to anyone who wants to experience Indian cuisine!

The food was fine, but overall lacked any real flavor or spice. We ordered the chicken 65, it was texturally great but had almost no flavor. The garlic naan was great, but the butter chicken was bland and lifeless. Tasted fine but no real punchy flavors. We ordered it medium (which is usually bordering on too spicy for me), and there was seemingly no spice at all.

I have dined here 3 or 4 times over the last few years and always had a great experience, and the food is delicious! A coworker asked me for a recommended for a work group dinner their department needed to host, and I suggested the Spice Palette. She told me that they had an amazing experience and it was the perfect venue for their meal, and that their guests were raving about the experience and the food! Thank you to the Spice Palette team for providing a comfortable place to dine with delicious food.

I appreciated how calm and welcoming this restaurant felt during a weekday lunch, with pleasant staff who were quick with service and kept the experience running smoothly. The dining room was well decorated, creating a relaxing environment that worked well for catching up with friends. One area that could be improved is adding a bit more energy during slower periods, since the space felt very quiet with only a few guests present. Still, the wide variety of menu options stood out, offering choices suitable for both experienced diners and those new to Indian cuisine, and the helpfully descriptive menu made it easy to navigate different dishes without hesitation.
