The beet burger was delicious and filling. It was 3 of us and we ordered a regular cheese pizza as an appetizer. Sorry no photos. It was so delicious we inhaled it.
Highly recommend!
The staff are just as amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming that as a customer, I always really feel well taken care of.
And the atmosphere is so, so nice!! It’s warm, inviting, and just has overall great vibes.
My favorites on the menu – all the soups (they are a staple I pick up weekly), Samosas, loaded nachos, grilled cheese (finally a good GF/DF one!!), mushroom toast with chili flakes, RAMEN!, bagels, brioche rolls, ginger muffins. Oh and the juices are awesome!!
Staff is so friendly and helpful. Be sure to check it out!!
It was back in early June when I hobbled into R2R (Larchmont) following a golf weekend getaway. I have degenerative joint disease of both knees. My left knee was hurting to the point where I had difficulty weight bearing. I’ve known of R2R from their Pleasantville location. Their store has always been a favorite stop for me; a place where I have gotten to know and befriend their owner and chef, Jyoti Tewani.
That fateful day I “walked” in the store – just happened to be a day when Jyoti was on location. She took one look at me and with sincere concern, said: “We need to figure this out – let’s sit and talk.” At the time, I was 292 pounds (I am a big boned 5’-8”) and with borderline high blood pressure. I told Jyoti, “I’m yours, let’s do it.” From that day on, it’s been a magical journey!
Jyoti and I agreed on an 16/8 – intermittent fasting diet: eat 2 meals between 12pm and 8pm – and then nothing until 16 hours later (always drinking plenty of water throughout the day). I started that day by taking home meals for 3 days and nights. When I showed up for my next set of meals (still with knee pain) – she included a Golden Smoothie – rich with organic, turmeric powder. I drank that tasty smoothie throughout that day – and wouldn’t you know, I woke the next day pain-free! Needless to say, the Golden Smoothie is a forever, intermittent treat
Of course, my knees still have joint issues, but the inflammation is down and I have been pretty much pain-free this whole time.
So, let’s talk about their menu: healthy, creative, filling and DELICIOUS whole foods! A steady diet of Thai Crunch salads, Falafel Bowls, Ramen Zoodles, the Mulligatawny, (soup), Harvest Chili, Tofu Black Bean bowls, Heart Health Salads and my personal favorites: Mushroom Toast and Pasta Bolognese (and so much more). Each meal a perfection of taste and nutritional value. It is the food we ALL should be eating.
It’s now approximately 6 months of eating R2R’s meals and I’m now down 62 pounds (230) and my blood pressure is as good as it has been in years (my MD is quite impressed and told me to keep it up). This is with intermittent bike rides and unfortunately, more than occasional “off” days (events throughout the summer, fall and holidays where I didn’t eat as well as I should have). My goal is to get to 200 lbs, so I’ve a short way to go – but with Jyoti’s help, along with the R2R team, I will successfully arrive – sooner than later.
To the R2R team – Jyoti, I am indebted to you – you are caring, nurturing and supportive – that fateful day in June when we sat down to talk has meant everything to me. Getting to know Mike (master chef) and your son, Tanay has been a great privilege. Your crew behind the counter is a long list of the most accommodating and courteous people; they could not be any more kinder. And of course, your assistants behind the scenes in the kitchen – they do amazing work to help make your meals what they are: MAGNIFICENT! Thank you all…
