A perfect place for any occasion. Toreros never disappoints. The friendly staff will recognize you the second time you visit and will even remember your name. The food is excellent (definitely the drinks) but the staff is one of the reasons I keep coming back.

Good food with reasonable prices.

The kitchen is usually fast at preparing your food and our server, Maria, is always a delight and Joy to be around.

We keep on coming back because Maria is like family now, she knows what we like is always smiling and a pleasure to be around.

Separate bar if you like a bit more privacy regarding date night with friends or the lady.

We are here for the second time a few days ago so I felt like it was time to leave a review.

The food is ok, but the portions are small and lacking flavor compared to other places in the area.

My wife and I ordered the fajitas for two, which were around $36. The meal was enough for us to both be satisfied. That said, we recently had the same meal at another Springfield Mexican place. While we paid about $4 more for our meal, we got 2-3x more food at the other place.

The service is fantastic. The wait staff was on the ball all night and I tipped well based on that good service.

That said, I feel like the food is a bit overpriced for the portions/flavor.

Maybe that’s just me. Definitely worth checking out to decide for yourself.

Had another wonderful experience tonight. Queso Ranchero Enchiladas, Sopa de Tortilla con Pollo, and Flan.

Snagged it for my wife for takeout (para llevar), and it was *very* well insulated.

The flavors are everything you could hope for from a high end Mexican Restaurant, and we look forward to our next time there!

We had the best service ever. Prompt, caring, friendly, and comfortable.
I liked the atmosphere and decor of the place, the only down fall is no windows but what can you except from a strip mall. The food was decent. I ordered the tres fajitas. The shrimp was over cooked and the chicken was supper thin. The flavor was good and it was hot.
Let’s talk about the amazing service again… They are extremely hospitable. We’ll go back and try something new.

Toreros is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants in the Springfield area. Very, very family friendly. The food is ALWAYS perfect. I’ve had lots of items on the menu, and have NEVER had a compliant. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

2 days ago was my birthday so my old neighbors too me to lunch, I ordered a chicken enchilada. This was one of the worst I’ve ever had, no flavor no real sauce: the Spanish rice was bland, the refined beans tasteless. My neighbor ordered shredded beef fajita burrito it had 2 small pieces of roast beef and she said it was terrible. We will never return.

Great food and decor is very festive. Service was lacking at the beginning but ended up being very good. Food was slow to come out but was delish.

My husband and I tried this place in 2021. We had an okay service experience but the food was really lacking. My husband got shrimp and it tasted off. The nachos weren’t great. But In an effort to support local and give folks another try, we tried it again today. We headed in for lunch. The lay out is complicated and the walls are over doused with dusty decor. Too much going on to be able to keep everything clean.

The servers was gracious and friendly. The food was not. The chips and salsa were okay. Classic and tasted like a staple.

We got the fajitas for two with chicken and steak. We avoided shrimp because of our prior experience. The presentation was nice. It looked okay when it arrived. However, the chicken breast was really dry and felt like it had been grilled a while ago. The steak seemed to have a sour taste to it that me this it was off and possibly too old to serve. It wasn’t dry, just something in it tasted off. I am Latina, I love fajitas and Mexican food dearly. And I want this place to excel. We did let the waitress know the food wasn’t good but didn’t ask that it be free. I am of the school of thought that if you opt to try something you pay for it whether it was good or not. Sadly, Toreros has an aged feel in its food and it’s decor. I think most of the profit comes from their gaming side. Which, is totally fine if that works for their customer base. I would love it if this place improved. Having Latin food near by that’s fresh and flavorful in a sit down restaurant would be great. Right now it’s just not working for us.
