The ladies at the registers provided great service with plenty of seats to sit indoor or outdoor.
There are plenty of parking spots.
I told her I’m not familiar/ my first time here. She just kept going all over the place explaining to me after the fact and making me feel stupid about it. This is why chains are winning, it’s sad.
Your poor services/staff. Suck and are killing your business. Never will be coming back. I’ll enjoy a coffee at home. Oh and she didn’t even close the lid. It spilled all over my sister. Done.
Service: 5/5
Food quality: 2/5
Price: a little on the high side for what we got
Josephine was very kind and helpful, and patient as we slowly made our selections.
The food items we ordered were:
Apple Tart: 5/5 — this was good, nicely textured tart shell, thinly sliced apples and flavor was great.
Apricot Pocket and Raspberry Pocket: 5/5 — Both were fresh, light flakey pastry and the just right amount of fruit filling.
Blueberry Muffin: 5/5 — fresh, moist inside of the muffin, nice crisp/crumbly streusel topping.
Chocolate Chip Muffin: 4/5 — yummy, semisweet chocolate chips and nice texture. A bit more dry than the blueberry.
Cranberry Pecan Scone: 3/5 — lovely fresh scone – although I had ordered an almond scone and had been looking forward to an almond scone for months! I didn’t check the box until I got home and noticed it was the wrong flavor. The cranberry pecan scone was fresh, moist yet crumbly and the classic scone texture. It was good, just not what I had ordered.
Almond Bear Claw: 1/5 — this was a disappointment. The bear claw has no glaze on the outside of the pastry leaving it dry and not quit sweet enough. I cut into the pastry to see how the filling was. The almond paste inside the pastry was thick, and I was so excited to see that! However it was maybe only 20% pure almond paste and the rest was some kind of filler that was not almond paste. The almond flavor was almost non existent. The actual pastry dough was average quality. Similar to Panera or any other chain bakery.
Pumpkin swirl was perf sponge texture.
Pumpkin macaroons were great.
Caramel cookie was a perf salty sweet taste.
Strawberry pastry was mouth watering.
Meet your friends for a fabulous pastry or sandwich and a cup of coffee or cocoa.
Definitely a high quality chef in the kitchen.
