Wojia is my favorite hunanese restaurant in the Bay area. Will definitely be back again and again.
The food is spicy and has good wok hei.
Farmers bowl is my favorite with mushroom, jalapenos, pork and egg.
The dan dan noodles are nice but skimp a little on the pork. The sauce is delicious tho.
The Kung Pao chicken was a tad sweet but still yummy. No cornstarch coating. No deep frying.
The water chestnut, broccoli and lilly was nice to cut the spice.
The human lamb was soft. The meat is velveted but not coated with starch which I prefer. Same with the Kung Pao chicken.
They don’t have a parking lot.

We have heard of this place for a while and decided to try. So disappointed. The food was extremely salty. We ordered 6 dishes. None of them was impressive. Either mediocre or terrible. Dried tofu with chives hardly had any tofu. Lamb was super dry and hard to chew. Service was bad too. The whole place looked depressing. We all had diarrhea the night after dinner!

I really love this place. It’s a Chinese restaurant near my home. The food is flavorful and authentically Hunan-style. My favorite dishes are the Boiled Fish with Pickled (B1) and the Hunan-style Stir-fried Beef – both are incredibly tasty! The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold and satisfying. Highly recommended!

3.5⭐️ for food. We got 7 things…a favorite was the sauce the pork was in but BEWARE: it probably has MSG in it. If you’re sensitive like me, ask before you order!! I was passed out for 4-5 hours from it
The sweet walnut shrimp was good but too much dough. EXCELLENT, satisfying noodles. And we really liked the sesame balls for dessert. They’re 2/3 the size of the normal ones you get at Dim sum, which is great because they’re a bit crunchier and have higher toasted sesame ratio to mochi which we loved!
