I had an absolutely delicious meal at this Indian restaurant! I started with the Chana Salad — so fresh and perfectly balanced with a light, tangy tamarind sauce. The bread was warm, soft, and just incredible — the kind you keep reaching for — and it paired beautifully with the Crab Malabar. I’ve never had crab in an Indian dish before, and the rich coconut flavors made it a true standout.
To top it all off, I had the Mango Lassi, which was honestly the best I’ve ever had — smooth, refreshing, and not too sweet. I’ll definitely be back to try the Rose Lassi next time.
The staff were lovely and attentive, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and welcoming. Highly recommend — a true gem!

We’ve been longtime customers of Amantraan, and after living in DC, NYC, and Jersey City, we can confidently say we haven’t found another Indian restaurant that does paneer makhani and pizza naan the way Amantraan does. Every time we’re anywhere near Toms River, it’s a must-stop for us. The flavors are consistently incredible and truly unmatched. It’s hands-down the best and even our dog is a fan of our favorite order.

The owner and the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking, which made our visit hassle-free right from the start.
One of the key highlights for me and my family was that Aamantran offers halal food. This is very important to us, and we were thrilled to find such a great restaurant that caters to our dietary needs. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were flavorful and delicious. Every bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the kitchen staff.
What truly made our visit memorable was the personal touch from the owner. The father and son duo were tremendous, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the location. It was wonderful to see such a humble and passionate family running the restaurant. The owner’s ability to speak multiple languages was impressive and added to the welcoming atmosphere. It felt like we were guests in their home rather than just customers.

The staff was incredible. So friendly and helpful. I love that it’s a family business. The food was delicious! Living in Seaside Park we are so deprived of Indian food. We are beyond grateful we have found this little gem.

Went for dinner last night & ordered dry Manchurian, Malai kofta, Paneer tikka masala, Undhiyu, Assorted basket, pistachio kulfi & mango kulfi. Dry manchurian was good, undhiyu was good, malai kofta & paneer tikka masala was average, Naan was good, mango kulfi was good but they had put edible dark color in pistachio. Pricey, average taste & average quantity. They also charged for onion & lemon. They charge service charge on entire bill, like many other Indian restaurants. An, they charged 4% for credit card fees. Not coming back as have better options locally.
Owner replied on 11/16, to enjoy the buffet. I have better buffet options in central jersey then to drive to toms river. Also, when asked over the phone prior to coming, if it’s a buffet or ala carte restaurant, they said they stopped buffet in afternoon & only ala carte. That’s not even the point, “kindly & dearly”! Customer needs to get the value in terms of taste, quality & quantity for the money they spend.

This was the first place I ever had Indian food at & it really opened up my mind to all of the different types of cuisines that are out there in the world. After eating here, I knew that I wanted to try more Indian food & foods of all different cultures. The Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan is delicious! I’ve tried other dishes here & none of them compare to that one. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is quaint, but the prices are a little high & portions are little small. If not for the prices & portions, this would be a 5 star review.

Was sooo good!! Before I left for colorado long time ago I came here often. It is still very good allways fresh. The lamb Tikka was soo tender and full of flavor.Naan is sooo light and crispy some of best ever had..The chicken was great a lip bit dry today but still good..Come and try this great food if you get a chance!!!
