Oh my goodness this place is FIRE. Its delicious AND its so affordable! Spam musubi for under $3 and look at all this katsu??? This is such a good deal, definitely don’t sleep on this place. Highly recommend you eat in when it’s fresh out of the frier

Couple of things upfront. I wanted to and did, support an AAPI locally owned business, instead of the corporate businesses next door. I liked the simple design of interior and it was cool on a 91F degree day. The younger lady explained what the differences between the healthy plate and the normal mixed BBQ plate are.
I ordered the mixed BBQ healthy plate. I was charged the incorrect amount for it. I knew it right away. They didn’t give me a normal receipt, only a receipt for me to sign with tip and total lines. I had to ask separately for a priced and itemized receipt. Mentioning the price difference for what I ordered, I was not assisted in any way. Unfortunately, the first receipt with no itemization or line item priced amount, added insult to injury.
I ordered it for stay so I could enjoy the atmosphere. Having been to Hawaii and many Hawaiian fast casual restaurants over the years, I was surprised that there was no music playing. It would have been cool to hear some Hawaiian music, like at other Hawaiian fast casual restaurants.
The interior is clean and the food came out hot. My to stay meal was brought to my table in a takeout bag. I took out my clear plastic container from the plastic bag and tried the brown rice first. I liked how fluffy it was. I ordered the salad with no sauce. It was clean with large slices of cucumber,
The mixed BBQ meats were hot. I appreciate hot food a lot. The Korean ribs were cooked well, the beef cooked to my liking and the chicken had a nice marinade.
I would like to come back, but the pricing and receipt things unfortunately turned me off to the overall experience. Hopefully they fix these pricing and customer services issues soon.

I’ve never been there in person, but I’ve ordered from them plenty of times—and the food is phenomenal. The portions are definitely generous (perfect for us thick folks!).
One small suggestion: adding a menu link to Google Maps would be super helpful. I’m always telling people about the food, and having the menu handy would make it even easier to put others on.

I am so happy to find this hidden gem on Marysville Blvd because my friend recommended DQ Hawaiian BBQ & Chicken after he tried it a couple of weeks ago. They just opened not too long ago and have already received many excellent reviews. I have a very delicious dinner here tonight! I am also overeating! Lol
The restaurant looks a little dated outside, but the interior is nice and clean. The most important thing is that all the food was so delicious and we enjoyed our dinner. It was a perfect ending with the excellent, yummy desserts!
The service is excellent. The owners are very friendly and attentive. We have a fantastic dining experience in DQ Hawaiian BBQ & Chicken. I can’t wait to come back again soon to try more delicious food on their menu.

First time back in here since it used to be a chicken joint.
The man at the counter was trying his best to be fast and keep up. He was also running the drive thru, too. Very nice guy and welcoming.
I ordered 2 fried chicken tacos and an order of lumpias. The lumpias were average, but the fried chicken tacos were good. It looked like they took the chicken katsu and turned it into a taco. So it was good.
The restaurant itself was plain but if the food is good that doesn’t matter to me.
I want to come back and try other items on the menu.

Fast food spot for HBBQ. Big menu and good selection of Hawaiian style soft drinks. Location is cozy (a bit warm from the open kitchen) and staff is attentive. My order was the bbq mix. The marinade for the beef was a bit overpowering. The savoriness and sweetness are competing rather than complimentary but the flavors are definitely strong. Portions were quite generous. Very big menu, would return to try more items.

My wife and I ordered their half and half BBQ plate (Kalua Pork and Chicken) and Chicken Katsu plate.
Let me tell you, the BBQ chicken was so good, clean, juicy & delicious. And the Kalua pork had such a delicious smokey taste and was so juicy.
Also their Chicken Katsu was cooked just right. Crispy & Juicy with their katsu sauce. Let’s not forget their rice and mac salad lol.
We will DEFINITELY be back for more!!

Terrible customer service. I’ve been to many Hawaiian Places and it’s never a problem for them to cut the BBQ Chicken for me. I ask all the time. Funny enough, last time I was here I asked for my chicken cut and they didn’t have a problem. I call today and ask and they say “We can provide you with a knife and you can cut the chicken yourself.” Extremely rude. Funny how businesses want your money but get an attitude when you have a simple request.
