We’re an artisanal French bakery with a modern vibe. Located in the up-and-coming Miami River Landing area, we are a passion-driven team that aims to deliver the freshest and most delicious baked goods in Miami. Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie was started by Olivier Rizk in 2021. His love for baking has been around since a very young age. For as long as he can remember, he would spend his days at his uncles bakery here in South Florida, Delices De France, observing, learning, and occasionally dipping his fingers in the chocolate eclairs that were in the pastry showcase.

I had the good fortune to run into super-fan Annie in the queue who recommended their croissant and guava biscotti. Both were delicious as was the cafe au lait.
U can see the owner and staff at work behind a glass wall separating the cafe from the kitchen.
The mall also has a Publix with an hour free parking on the ground floor or two hours free one floor up.
Top marks to this place. The also own Le Bistro next door – a French eatery…. Will have to try that next.
For people who love very sweet pastries, this shop may be a great fit. But for those like authentic French pastries, this is not a place. The portions are quite large as well, so one piece is more than enough.
I liked that the drink bar, where they prepare all the drinks, is separate from the main section with food and the register. The drink bar is actually a bar, with chairs around it where you can sit down and have your drink or food there.
The menu is not that big. It mostly features sandwiches, desserts, and soft drinks. The menu also includes a few salads and a soup.
I was moderately hungry and decided to try a Norwegian Sandwich and a White Chocolate Iced Latte. I absolutely loved what I got! The sandwich, which was actually a croissant, was extremely tasty! The croissant was very fresh and soft. The salmon was also very fresh and flavorful. But what really gave the sandwich a fantastic flavor was the lemon vinegar; I absolutely loved it! The White Chocolate Iced Latte was super tasty. I personally love white chocolate, so the flavor was perfect for me. It actually tasted like white chocolate and was perfectly sweet. Of course, I couldn’t help myself and had to order a dessert, which was a White Chocolate (surprise!) Raspberry Mousse. This dessert was also absolutely delicious! Its consistency was very soft, and both flavors – white chocolate and raspberry – were clearly distinguishable and super flavorful! I find this combination very nice! By the way, the dessert selection had a variety of options, and all the desserts looked very appealing! In conclusion, everything I tried was absolutely delicious! I can’t mention anything negative about the food quality.
I also have to highlight the service, which was very fast. I got my order within five minutes. The staff working that day was extremely sweet to me.
The only issue I would like to point out is the prices at this bakery, which are high and overpriced. For the three items I ordered, I paid $27.34, which can be a full lunch with an appetizer, a main meal, and a drink when you’re very hungry. I should mention that the sizes of my sandwich and dessert were not that big; the dessert was actually small. So paying $27 for that was kind of painful. But I must admit that these are typical Miami prices. If you go to a nice cafe in Miami, you always spend a lot of money, like $8 for a latte everywhere.
Anyway, the most important thing is the quality of the food and drinks, which is very high at this place. That’s why I absolutely recommend this bakery for a visit, and I am excited to come back and try other items from the menu.
The place is beautiful, clean and well lit to start out with. One of the owners attended me and he was truly friendly, helpful in answering questions as well as the rest of his staff.
I got the last of the almond croissant and tried a Belgian chocolate mousse. Wow wow wow. First the almond croissant was truly delicious. It was moist and had good amount of almond paste and it was baked to perfection. Too bad there was not more to take home at that time. I am not a mousse fan but this chocolate mouse was rich and smooth and it gave joy to my taste buds. The cappuccino was creamy and also added to the delight.
I truly shall be coming to order more pastries from here!
I’ve been here at least 3-4 times before this review. It’s convenient, fast, but still has substance. The Tunisian is one of my faves, the Mediterranean is delicious, and I love the Norwegian is my go to when I can’t decide. The coffee is always fresh and delicious, and the sweet treats are thee BEST!
Can’t go wrong here!
