Locale Gastro Bar & Pizzette is located at 15 West Main Street, just west of the Four Corners, and is part of the New Village at Patchogue complex. Locale offers fine dining in a welcoming atmosphere. With roots in restaurants that span over a century in Sicily, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Long Island, we come from a tradition of cooking great food for other people. Locale features two dining rooms that seat a total of 170, a bar that sits 14 and a pizza oven — all in an urban environment that’s eclectic in design but heavy on industrial chic. One of the two large dining rooms (the one with the fireplace) will be used for private catering space as well.

Horrible ! I use to go to this place almost every weekend until about a year ago and it was good . The owner was a young guy and his sister . He would sit and talk to me . Last night I went there and ordered the veal parmigiana and calamari and it was horrible . First of all the bar tender was a nice girl but she was more interested standing in front of the register texting . She never once asked me how everything was . After I got the calamari I waited about 45 minutes for my veal . The DJ who wasn’t even playing music came and sat at the bar and ordered food long after I did and he had his food before me . I finally asked the bartender “where is my veal ?” and she said it’s coming . When I got the food it was ice cold . The ziti seemed like it came out of the refrigerator. The veal was a patty not real veal like it is to be . When I was young we were very poor and my Mom would serve me the same veal patty and try and pass it offa real veal . It told me back to that memory . The service was so bad after waiting for my check for about 25 minutes I just put $80 under my Diet Coke glass and procceded to leave . They never offered me any bread or water and everyone was to busy texting . The DJ finally put on a song at 9:20 pm and the place closed at 10pm . Not a bad gig . If I could rate this place a zero I would . I have no idea what happed to this place maybe it’s new owners now but I can tell you if it continues to be run like that it won’t be in business much longer . If your the owner and you don’t believe my review look at your camera footage from last night at 8:06 pm to 9:25 pm . I review a different restaurant every week and I work for LI restaurant magazine. No one knows that I’m reviewing and watching everything that goes on and tasting the food to do the review . As I was leaving a server handed my my check it was for $59 so I just left and kept the $80 on the bar. I will never go back unless a drastic changes are made .

The cheese in the appetizer was no fresh. The meatballs were very good, my fish was flavorful. My wife was not happy with here veal, it was so tough she couldn’t bite threw it. The server was not attentive at all. We had to ask a buser to get us more water. The live music was the best part. Will give them another shot but will stick to the pizza.

This place serves the best spinach and artichoke salmon I’ve ever had—it was absolutely delicious! The regular cheese pizza was also spectacular. Our waitress, Jillian, was incredibly attentive and never let my Diet Coke get even halfway empty. A 10 out of 10 experience—highly recommend!

Been going to this spot for several years. Certainly one of the best restaurants in Patchogue. Service is usually friendly and attentive, but food isn’t always consistent. Pappardelle had amazing meat sauce but was ripping apart and lacked good structure (too much fat?). Waiter was attentive but seemed green and not very confident in his work. Wine was poured sloppily / spilling. Overall, the atmosphere is the best aspect of this establishment. Dark, yet cozy. Perfect place for a date or seat at the bar for drinks and pizza.

Locale in Patchogue is our absolute favorite for special occasions. I appreciate this spot not only for its high-quality food but also for its remarkable consistency. Every time we visit, the food seems to get even better, haha. My go-to choices include a delicious red wine, mussels in marinara, rigatoni alla vodka or grubfather, and, of course, the chocolate lava cake. The service is exceptional, and the ambiance is intimate. This place truly has our heart!
I once tried takeout from this place and regretted it because it just wasn’t the same. I highly recommend dining in and sitting at the bar if you’re looking for a relaxed, low-key experience.

We went for late Valentine’s day dinner. Everything was amazing, appetizers, dinner and wine was absolutely amazing! Bartender was Alyssa so nice and really made dinner wonderful. The fried Calamari was the best I think I have ever had, marinara was perfect complement baked clams so light and buttery delicious. We had a pizza and salad also very flavorful and yummy. Can’t wait to go back on our next date night. Thank you guys!

locale was good, we got the grubfather and carbonara. service was great when we got in, our order was taken right away and our fried zucchini came out super quick. we felt like we waited quite a while for our entrees though, and it didn’t seem super busy. the parking isn’t always the best, so make sure you give yourself time if you have a reservation depending on the day
