My family waited in line to purchase this very popular, hyped smash burger vendor in the market event in Waikiki, but they are usually spotted at the kakaako farmers market on Saturdays.

They waited in line, ordered and got their food in roughly 1 hour. Thats crazy.

The original oklahoma truffle burger is truly delicious but half way in, not so good. The smash burger is cooked well and crispy, the double patties allows you to taste the beef, but its overwhelming by the amount of sauce in the burger. Onions are sweated and cooked but still overwhelmed by the truffle sauce. The buns was warm, soft, buttery, but the sauce just covered everything. Half way through, I just tasted sauce and I was very displeased, almost forcing myself to finish it. It possible is their style, and if you like it , you will love it. For me, the burger with a little dressing of the sauce would have been better.

We also ordered regular and truffle fries. Both were good, nice and crispy. Truffle taste was sprinkled evenly throughout, wasnt dominating the fries. Was enjoyable.

Im sure the atmosphere was hot, muggy and uncomfortable waiting for a long time to eat smash burgers in the farmers market. But thats to be expected when going to an open market. So I could only review the food, not service nor atmosphere.

Would I got back. No. The tourist, the influencer, and the people who chase fomo can experience and popularize the place. I’ll pass.

Also, for the price $19 for one smashburger and $7 for fries. There are better smashburgers found around honolulu that cost less and still delicious.

Now that is an amazing burger! Excellent combination of ingredients to get a party in your mouth. We arrived early and were first in line, we’ve been to other markets and seen a huge line. Either way you do it – it is worth it. We also got the truffle fries and split the burger between two adults in the middle of the day. Worth the hype!

You must try this burger if you’re in Hawaii. I got there super early, before 8 am, so I only waited about 10 minutes. I don’t normally eat burgers, but this one was so good—the meat was super juicy and definitely the best burger I’ve ever tried so far!!

I saw it Instagram and i’m so glad I was able to try it on Saturday at the Kaka’ako Farmers Market. I was there super early so only waited 10 minutes in a queue. Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in ages. Totally worth waiting. Mahalo!

come early or be prepared to wait in long lines! note that there’s one line for ordering and one for waiting. also you can customize the burgers but just note it may take time as the burgers are cooked in batches.

Finally got to try their burgers. They had a special event in Waikiki on a Monday and so glad I got to try it without any lines!

Final verdict: burger was delicious, a good smash burger. It wasn’t dry and it’s got a good char. The truffle sauce was kinda weak and runny. It’s a mess to eat but nonetheless it went really well with the burger. The patty could have more beef flavor and could use a tad bit more salt.

Not saying it wasn’t good but for $19 I’ve had better. I would definitely not stand in line for this. I’m just glad I got to try it without waiting otherwise I would be so disappointed.

Worth a try? Maybe if there’s no wait. Worth waiting for more than 15 mins? Probably not.

Best smashed burgers! The white truffle sauce on top with the side chipotle sauce are 2 great combos. Get a lot of napkin it’ll get messy. So good!

– [ ] Saw a posting for this on instagram as a “suggested for you” and was hooked. Conveniently enough they see going to be at a farmers market on Saturday which we would still be in town for. Our mistake at how ridiculously long we waited for this burger. About 1.5 hours in total. At the Saturday farmers market they are open from 8-12p but go early as they stop taking orders at 11a because of the wait. We waited in the hot sun for 30 minutes just to order and another 1 hour for our burger to be cooked. You can watch the cook right in front of you. Props to him because that’s a hot sweaty job. They only cook about 10 burgers every 20 minutes and depending on how many burgers were ordered by the people ahead of you would determine how long your wait is. Each burger has 2 smash patties unless you add additional patties for $4. They have a system but they need another grill. We spent all day here waiting for just a burger and it really wasn’t anything special. The Oklahoma burger was good, the onions gave great taste, the patties did have a good crust and the truffle not too overpowering but I did not find it worth wait. If we knew how long the wait was we wouldn’t have stayed but we already ordered and spent $45 just on two burgers. We had to skip our other plans because of how long we spent waiting line. If you want to try the burger, plan for this to be half day exertion waiting for it.

I’m a burger fiend and tried a lot of burgers in the island. Summary: expensive but a good burger to try.

On one hand the burger is great. Crisp patty, caramelized onions, tons of truffle sauce. The taste is fantastic, but it IS a lot of sauce. It’s a wet freakin burger, you’ll get messy brah. It’s also a good size.

On the other hand it’s EXPENSIVE. And a pretty long wait sometimes. (Edit: updated description! ) Nearly 20 bucks for just one burger with no add ons, BUT it is a double patty, and it’s quality, but just something to consider.

Overall a really unique burger and one of the best on island.

Well, the burger is good if you like cheesy burger. It is just too long a wait for the burger under the sun (1.5 hr for around 40 ppl ahead of us) and this creamy hot burger become not so tempting and I just want a shaved ice instead
