Scott Bird’s review is way off!
We always have the best pizza anywhere around Bohol.
And I think the crust, which is the foundation for the pizza, is the best I have had in the Philippines.
For authentic ingredients and flavors, Vanilla Sky is on the top of our list.

A total terrible experience for Valentine’s Day dinner
This was easily the worst “Carbonara” I’ve ever seen. The pasta was half-raw, and the sauce was incredibly thin, looking more like sour milk than a creamy sauce. We ordered different pasta dishes, but they honestly looked and tasted exactly the same.
To make matters worse, we waited 40 minutes for this, and it definitely wasn’t worth the 1,800 PHP we paid. When the waitress asked why we didn’t finish our food, I told her the taste was awful, but she just smiled and ignored me. Truly a nightmare experience for a holiday.

Really poor pizza!
The pizza is drenched in oil, maybe you can see from the pictures and the base resembles a frozen supermarket pizza base.
Probably the worst pizza I’ve had in my life! And certainly not a representative of authentic Italian Pizza—not even close!
I ordered two to try, I should have ordered one – 3 of us could not finish the two pizzas drenched in oil.
A couple of people recommended the pizza at Vanilla Sky but I should have known better to listen to them and I cannot recommend anyone to eat the pizza at Vanilla Sky

The food was pretty good, but when I asked the waitress if we could listen to better Italian music, as the ones we were listening to over the speakers were rather lame, she responded that these songs were the owner’s favorite songs. The fact alone that the server brushes aside (ignores) the customers requests or desires makes the restaurant worth just half of what it would normally be. Also, they added a 10% service charge to the bill at the end, which, by itself is unlawful —unless the Customer is informed of the extra charges on the menu in writing.
Also, we ordered a Capponata which normally comes with 4 pieces of bread, however, we only received two pieces. When we asked for an extra piece of bread they brought it out and at the end they charged an extra 40 pesos for it on the bill.
Vanilla Sky not only ignores customers wishes but they are disgustingly cheap by serving less than the norm.
We ended up NOT paying the extra 10% “service charge.”

I didn’t get any basil leaves on my Margherita pizza which was disappointing, but it tasted ok. It was not busy when I went but in that circumstance the atmosphere was nice and quiet, and the service was available. Open dining area was nice with view of garden and pool. I would recommend to escape the traffic of main strip.

This is the most amazing restaurants here in Panglao. The pizza’s, pasta and all foods is very delicious, tasty.
All the staff is very accommodating, friendly and always smiling. They’re very welcoming.
Also the owner is very approachable, and he is Italian.

I guess they have the best pizzas in Panglao, made in a real pizza oven. The taste was very authentic, as in Italy. Highly recommended.

It was delicious! It is very near to the center of Bohol, not so crowed but the most important – the best pasta in town! Highly recommended, we have been there twice & the owner is italian so the food has the real european taste! We loved it – try it out!
