My husband like the rack of ribs. He did not care for the mashed potatoes. He said they were too greasy.
I liked my garden salad served in a crock pot. It had a nice variety of greens and more.
Nope not even close. Called ahead to see how long the wait was. The guy who answered said if we got there quick and finished by 8pm he had a high top.
We got there and ordered drinks and dinner by 6:40pm.
2 burgers (which they are famous for) a Pepsi and an Arnold Palmer.
At 7:30pm I asked if there was an eta on the burgers and didn’t get an answer.
At 7:45 I asked the guy who we spoke to on the phone earlier about the burgers and I was told “we are busy and working on it.”
8pm I asked the waitress if $10 would cover the drinks. She asked “are you leaving?” We said yes an hour and a half for two burgers when we needed to be done by 8pm was long enough. She told us to forget about the drinks. We left.
I do not recommend Boomerangs unless you have an entire evening to eat and don’t care when you get your food!
2nd time was to bring the drinks.
Followed up with a do you know what you want to eat.
I asked her her name she responded with attitude as if I was holding her up.
No problem we ordered fisherman’s plate, and the rib eye. 1 hour went by I counted how many times she walked by us without acknowledging us but made every effort to socialize with other parties. We got up and asked her for the check for the 2 sodas. She rolled her eyes and put 1 finger up as she walked away, she returned saying “just go it’s allset” just go.
I asked for the manager she responded saying I am the manager, your allset just go. Using her hand to wave us to the front door.
We were the only non-white people in there last night is all I could think of for why this little girl talked to us this way. For me it wasn’t how long it was taking the food to come out, it was her lack of customer service, the smugness she had with her. We really wished we got the chance to try the food there. It looked really good and worth the wait. Red Robin was excellent as always, I got some free fried and 20% off after we told them what happened at boomerangs.
The manager at Red Robin said her brother or somebody went through a similar event at that same place.
It’s a shame.
I wish I could have rated the food, but we never got it.
Beware of this place people.
They appear short-staffed for the volume of business; the place was packed on a Saturday night. No one was at the take-out station, so I had to go to the bar to pick up my food. It was hard to get someone’s attention at the crowded bar, and the owner was a bit rude (the other staff was polite, however!).
The baby-back ribs I ordered were barely mediocre; I should’ve just gotten them at Chili’s. They were not fall-of-the-bone tender, and they were barely warm. At least they weren’t fatty.
Weirdest thing was the mashed potatoes. They were mixed with a gravy (which I hadn’t requested), except it was 50 percent gravy, and 50 percent potatoes. Nasty.
My wife’s macaroni and cheese was dried out and equally unappetizing. Her Caesar chicken salad had no dressing on the side.
I will end the food critique on a positive note: the brussels sprouts with bacon were fantastic. But as a whole, the food was not worth the $64 I paid. Hey, I gave them four chances ….
