At our Collierville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Today I went into order different types of plates.
The octonauts this time where all the $5.99 deals!
I guess the size of the fish have changed.
The customer service definitely was wonderful over the speaker and at the window.

Lady working the window on 12/29/25 at 10:55am has an attitude and it needs to be addressed. She was rude when ordering on the speaker and was also rude at the window. Also, why does this location not have sweet and sour sauce? It practically made the chicken meal. I requested a breadstick instead of hush puppies, and was still given hush puppies. Not even made about that. Just wish someone could address the attitude problems.

A good place to get fish. I waited and no one took my order. They served my mom when she came in. They are catering to senior citizens. No problem. There are new staff. I used buy the family meal for family all the time, before the price went up. I’m giving for stars for overall and the food being fresh and hot in temperature each visit.

It was past 10am and they still wouldn’t take my order at the drive thru. I pulled to the side and there was not a soul in site in the front of the restaurant although there were cars in the parking lot with no one in them.

Captain D’s is a fish & seafood restaurant. I love the crispy fried fish. Especially when cooked fresh and served hot. They have shrimp, chicken strips, crab cakes, and lots of sides.

Usually a little on the slow side. But that is fine if it is served hot like I mentioned above.

Captain D’s is more of a fast food restaurant than a place like Red Lobster, in my opinion. Prices are a little high when you consider drinks do not come with the meal.
They do have specials they promote every month. And we get coupons in the mail pretty regularly.
For us, it is an occasional place to eat.

I ordered food from the drive-thru and had to pull up and wait (no problem). I look into my bag after I pulled off and noticed my shrimp was missing from my order. I turned around and went back to the location and they gave me my shrimp. On the way home I opened the box and ate a piece of my fish and noticed some parts felt wet/cold but I wasn’t sure why. I get home and open my bag and see used gloves that were left in the bag with my food!!!! I’m unable to get back out today but I’ve attempted to call several times with no answer. I will be returning Thursday requesting a refund and contacting corporate!

a quiet place to eat with pleasant staff who serve with courtesy and a simple menu but with good flavor that despite the fact that it is fast food at least are fish and salads so I considered this option if you want to taste something different from a fast option and without so much waiting

Every time I’ve went there, they are so rude, I sit there one day and waited 20 minutes to get my food and even then got my order mixed up. Everyone who went before me was bringing their trays back with mixed up orders.

Whoever busted this potato open, looked at this fish, saw how it looked, and sent it out was really on one today. Never had a problem with this store, but whoever handling food today need to get it together. I rather y’all had me pull up or even say you out. Don’t send food out that I’m sure you wouldn’t want to eat !
