Sat the bar to have drinks and dinner. The service was excellent and the food and drinks perfect. I had the crawfish enchiladas with rice and beans. The chips and dip excellent. The Marquita was strong but perfect tasting.

Out of all the Nicky’s Mexican Restaurants in the area, this is the original location. It has the best food and extremely clean . I give the owner, management and staff kudos. 9/5/2023 Same great food, great service, awesome atmospheric with minimal children noise. Clean Bathrooms. 10/8/2024 Great food and always clean! 2/17/25 Still awesome 7/15/25. 11/11/2025 This Nicky’s location wins with flying colors. It’s the casual and quiet atmosphere, the food and drinks are consistently better with larger portions, the water served at the table seems to be filtered because it has a pleasant taste. Unlike all of the other Nicky’s locations. The restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. The overall appearance inside and outside is nice. Whoever owns and runs this location, definitely knows how to do business and appreciates customer service. These few negative reviews, I suspect are bogus and are set up by friends of the competition. It just simply cannot be true, although no one is perfect and can make everyone happy. I’m sure the manager would make everything right, if the problem or problems are brought to their attention.

We have visited to other Nicky’s restaurants and not been very happy with the food or the service. This we found out, was the original Nicky’s. The food was excellent. My husband and I both had a different types of enchiladas and the rice was especially good. It had a cheese sauce melted into the rice that made the flavor perfect. Our waitress was extremely helpful and honest about all the products they had. We were seated immediately. Our food came out within 10 minutes. Our plates were cleared immediately and we were offered to go containers. We will definitely go back and take other family members to the original Nicky’s

I discovered the potato dish off the appetizer menu called Mexican Skins. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly recommend it. The taco meat and all the sides made this a fantastic addition to our meal!

My husband spent his teenage years in Shreveport area and he remembered Nicky’s, so we gave it a try. The foid is solid, the service was above and beyond and the lunch prices were really on point.

Waiter charged us for food they got wrong my mom never even ate that ️ and they charged her 50 dollars and then had the nerve to give my mom attitude for being surprised she has to pay for food they messed up they gave her a taco salad when she ordered a chilli enchilada thing I would recommend against going here.

Waitress never checked on us. Had my empty drink at the end of the table for 30min was there when she brought my food and didnt ask if we needed anything. I cam hear her gossiping in the back to her coworker the entire time. Won’t come back!

Came in for lunch at 1:30 on a Thursday. Place was empty, not super clean, food was clearly microwaved, and the host didn’t even look up from his phone or offer me a menu but the servers themselves were nice. The music was weird, too. It really clashed with the whole Tex-Mex atmosphere. My queso was a watery little mess that turned a $12 bite into a $20 bill. The 2 girls working there at the time were very nice though, they were honestly the only saving grace. Won’t be back, though. The one off of E Texas AKA Hwy 79 is much better.
