I’m from out of town and a friend who used to be local has been talking up this place for a year since they found out I’d be in the area. To honor their recommendation, I took the three train pilgrimage from Cambridge and walked the 7 minutes from the train station to Royal’s. Suffice to say, expectations or lofty.
Fortunately (for me and my friend’s sake), expectations were met and passed. I ordered the super beef, 3-way platter. The sandwich was plentiful, delicious, and fresh, and so were the fries. If given the opportunity, I will definitely visit again.

The owner and staff are very nice. The place is clean and very easy to find. Ample parking space. The food is outstanding Fresh, juicy scallops, shrimps, clams, and fishes with crispy light batter coated them. Fries perfectly fried. I love the cole slaw. Wish their tartar sauce given in big portion. We came too early for lunch, but it was actually perfect since people were lined before noon. Most of them look like regular customer. It has the vibe of neighborhood diner. If they have a bigger sitting area, it would have been perfect

I was visiting with my daughter over the holidays and we decided to try this place out. The food was delicious. I ordered fish and chips and my daughter got a cheesesteak sub. We also ordered a calamari roll to go and we ate it later on. Everything was made to order. The staff were very friendly. What we loved the most was the atmosphere because everyone there seemed to be from the neighborhood and knew people there. It was a very nice way to end the trip.

Just incredible to go to a Itty bitty restaurant and get such a high quality meal. It was great. Boston was fun to visit. This is a great place to grab a monster sized sandwich locally caught! Fun fun fun
Popular too! See how long the line was to get In?? I had to cross the ocean to eat! Don’t be discouraged about the line, it only took 9 minutes to get through all those people. Just miraculous. I think they fed thousands and my doxies with 1 loaf of bread and 2 fish!

We went here because it looked good and was close to where we were staying for the night. It looked real good but it tasted even better! I could not recommend the Steak Bomb Sub and Super Roast Beef Sandwich with BBQ sauce enough! And the Broiled Haddock Sub was excellent as well. The service was great too, the guy who was there by the cashier talked to us and gave us a lot of good tips on how to get around Boston. You can tell they know the community and you get the sense of being a part of a local place. It’s a lot of amazing food for really good prices. Definitely check this place out!

Edit: We went back here because we were in Boston again and we had an equally great experience. And that super nice guy’s name is John. This time I got a picture. I still couldn’t recommend them enough!
