Great hotdog joint. Delicious Coney Island hotdog. Very tasty hotdog, very good mustard, delicious chili and a tasty fresh bun. Great customer service and a nice joint. Would recommend a try and would visit again. Around $4.50 for the hotdog

Love this place. I usually order takeout but the restaurant is very clean and pleasant. The employees I usually encounter on my late Saturday morning stops are very efficient and the two make a great team. Great coney dogs and wonderful generously portioned fries. Highly recommend if you are searching a coney in Kalamazoo!

Ordered delivery around 5pm on a Monday. Went with a Chicago Dog, a NY Dog, an order of onion rings and a slice of baklava for desert. Everything was lukewarm, and it wasn’t due to my delivery driver as they got my order to me much faster than I even expected and I watched them take it out of a hot bag. The baklava was hard and I could barely bite through the middle layer. The onion rings were old and overcooked, tasting like they’d been dropped for a second time to “freshen” them up. Both hot dogs could have been amazing had the actual hot dog been even close to the size of the bun, but both hot dogs were mostly bun and toppings. The toppings were decent quality, at least.

First things first, you have to try a coney dog. The bun is nicely steamed, and the chili is just right—not the runny kind that drips down your hand. The dog itself, though, has no snap. A true coney should have a snap.

I ordered some food here for the first time. I got some chilly fries, and a burger! The burger was good, but instead of chilli they just gave me a hamburger with fries. I guess they ran out and didn’t inform me of it. Next time please let me know thank you. Amazing burger though, at a good price I felt.

Cannot recommend highly enough.
Coney Island checks all of my boxes. I only wish that they were open 24/7. Except that would mean that something had changed. And part of why this is one of my happy places is that nothing has changed in the decades I’ve been going here. (Well, they used to have a great jukebox.) The food hasn’t changed, it tastes exactly as marvelous as it did when I was a kid. The menu is almost exactly the same. They haven’t added gluten-free buns or tofu dogs, everything is spotless but the booths and the chairs and the trays and the lighting and even the doorway are just as they always were..
I always order the same thing including a Sprecher root beer in the bottle with a frosted mug.
And there’s nothing hokey about it. Just simple, delicious, food, authentically friendly, fast service. The consistency of everything is highly unusual in my experience. Even the places that I love occasionally have an off day or night where the service is not that great, or they mix up an order or your favorite dish has too much or too little of something.
The clientele is varied but the vibe is always wonderful and low-key.
It is small, so if you’re there at a busy time you may have trouble getting a table or a booth. But people don’t tend to linger so things turn over pretty quickly. It’s child friendly. You can get orders to go. (I once got on an Amtrak with two Coney dogs and when I unwrapped them people were literally coming over to me and asking me where I got my food.)

This place is really good! The decor is clean and the faces are inviting. I love the flavor of the dogs, you can taste the greek influence the second you walk in the door. We will definitely be back when in town.

I purchased the coney dogs and chili cheese fries from here. The prices were outrageous was the first thing I noticed. $3 just to change our cheese from the plastic-y nacho cheese to a shredded. We thought that although we paid a lot more than expected, maybe the portions or taste would make up for it?
No… unfortunately not. If you were expecting big box of chili fries or larger than average dogs to fit the price, you will be thoroughly disappointed. the box of fries was smaller than my hand and the dogs were extremely average.
The taste was the biggest disappointment of all. It is what prompted me to write this review. The chili wasn’t chili at all, just hamburger meat. Dry, loose, unseasoned hamburger meat.

Easily the best, and my most favorite place to get food in the Kalamazoo area. Mike is a great person with an absolute heart of gold who has never EVER wavered in how they treat their staff or customers. He served me with warmth, noticed the niche music apparel I had on and we chatted about music and such while he made my meal. I have a lot of anxiety going out to eat and this was an absolutely wonderful pleasure, please please please give these guys your business!!! Never stop being amazing!!!
