Truck driver passing through town and wanted pizza. All the “other guys” were closed by 11pm/midnight but not Sarpino’s! I rolled through around 12:45/1am and grabbed a couple pies and an order of the cheese bread. Food was delicious, employees were accommodating, and I could park easily in their lot with my rig. When im back in KC again I’m definitely coming back for more. I didn’t even make it back to our yard and it was already half gone.

Ordered via doordash 10/3/2024 11pm. Food arrived hot and fresh. The meat balls are so feeling and taste very good. The garlicsticks were okay and needed more garlic flavor. The marinara sauce and meat sauce 10 out of 10. The pricing is reasonable for what you get.

Absolutely love Sarpino’s in Shawnee! The food is consistently amazing, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Whether it’s pizza, pasta, or sides, everything tasted fantastic. The staff is always friendly and professional, and the turnaround time is very quick. It’s rare to find a place that nails both speed and quality, but Sarpino’s does it every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and top-notch service!

We had the Margeritta pizza, pepperoni pizza, cheesy breadstick, and cheese tortellini pasta. Not impressed. Crust was doughy. The sauce was very sweet and there wasn’t any Basil on the Margeritta pizza. Wouldn’t recommend.

If you’re from the East Coast, anywhere from Connecticut to DC, you are not going to like this pizza at all. If you’re from the Midwest and have no idea what true NY-style pizza is, you’ll probably like it. This last order, I took one slice and got sick–threw out the rest of the pie. I’ve ordered from Sarpinos probably 6 times over the years, but I just can’t stomach it one more time. The crust is sweetish and very doughy, not crispy at all like it should be. These pizzas are not cooked in a proper oven (not a brick oven). My calzone was literally wet and soggy. The tomato sauce is too sweet and very, very bland with no detectable Italian spices. To be fair, the service is professional and prompt. It’s totally not to my taste (NY style) and I realize it’s probably very good to many people who haven’t had anything different. But for me –I’ll never order again.

We normally order from Sarpino’s once a month or so. No more. You can no longer get a regular sized Calzone, your only choice is large. Forcing you to order a large sandwich doesn’t mean you’re getting more meat and cheese, you’re just getting more bread.You can no longer get a small Greek salad, your only choice is large. They don’t even use kalamata olives in them anymore, they use little tiny slivers of black olives. What used to be somewhere around $32 for two calzones and a small salad is now over $50. It’s a shame because we enjoyed it before. We’re done.
