Reviews
The food itself was equally impressive. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented.
The environment deserves special mention as well. The atmosphere is excellent—warm, inviting, and stylish without feeling pretentious. The lighting, décor, and layout create a setting that works just as well for a celebratory dinner as it does for a quiet evening out. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed and can truly enjoy your meal and company.
Overall, my experience at Oliver’s Steakhouse was incredible. Between the exceptional service, the very nice and delicious food, and the excellent environment, it’s a place I can confidently recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I can easily see why so many people speak highly of this restaurant. Oliver’s is absolutely worth trying—you won’t be disappointed.
I want to preface this by saying that the service was excellent, and our server was wonderful. However, the quality of the steak was completely unacceptable.
When I ate the steak, it was surprisingly tough and had very little marbling. The fat had not rendered properly; it remained firm, chewy, and slightly waxy, completely lacking the melt-in-your-mouth texture you expect from a premium cut. Because this was my very first time trying a Creekstone Farms Ribeye, and I had complete trust in a high-end establishment like Oliver’s, I mistakenly assumed this was simply the normal texture of this specific beef. For this reason, I didn’t complain to our server at the table.
However, after leaving the restaurant, something didn’t sit right with me. The more I thought about it, the more I realized a $195 premium steak shouldn’t taste like that. I consulted a friend who is very knowledgeable about steaks, and he confirmed that a true Creekstone Farms Ribeye is famous for its exceptionally high intramuscular fat (marbling), tenderness, and explosive, juicy flavor where the fat melts into the muscle fibers. The steak I was served was the exact opposite of this.
It is incredibly disappointing to pay such a premium price for a cut of meat that severely missed the mark. I have attached the photo of the steak and my receipt as proof of my visit.
Given the stark contrast between the price and the actual quality of the food provided, I am requesting a refund for the Ribeye. I hope the restaurant management sees this review, takes this matter seriously, and reaches out to me to make this right.
The food was phenomenal: the steak was cooked to perfection, the Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, and the Shilito peppers side dish was a refreshing and unique addition. Every bite was a delight.
It was worth every penny of the $700 — truly an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t wait to return on my next trip to Toronto — this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food, impeccable service, and a stunning setting!
Really enjoyed the starters, which was this puffy cheese bread, I believe. They also serve some good pickled items, cheese, and olives.
Service was attentive, and I really appreciate that they plated the mains and sides for us.

My favourite item was probably the steak tartare, least was the Short Rib Wellington.. I thought it was overcooked. The garlic mash was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was really smooth and flavourful. Overall, we did definitely leave full and I couldn’t even finish my plate. You definitely want to try a little bit of everything, which I thought we did. I’d see myself coming back to try other items.
My experience from beginning to end is upscale Haute cuisine. I always receive a warm welcome from the General Manager Peter and every waiter I’ve had ( Daniel, Sebastian, Gabriel) has given me service above and beyond, exceptionally meticulous. My attentive waiters wore white gloves to serve me, kept my water topped up, refreshed my silverware and plates for every course and even wiped off any crumbs from my table.
I always enjoy the starting plate of olives, cheese e.c.t to get the taste buds prepared for the delicious meal to follow.
I highly recommend the tenderloin P.E.I steak.
It is always cooked perfectly and served with 3 different salts. It cuts through easily like butter!
For sides I recommend the Truffle Mac, garlic mash potatoes and Caesar Salad with the house made bacon, parmigiano, and focaccia crouton. This salad is one of the best I have had.
The food is consistently delectable and high quality the atmosphere is Opulence and I will definitely be returning soon!
We opted for the 7-course tasting menu. While the first five courses were technically perfect and amazing, the Wagyu Beef main course was the absolute highlight and easily worth the price of admission. The presentation was out of this world, including the highly personalized detail of selecting our steak knife.
The staff delivered perfect, seamless service—attentive, knowledgeable, and enhancing the experience without ever intruding. If you are looking for the pinnacle of luxury steakhouse dining and a truly unforgettable main course, this is a must-visit.
