Reviews
The service was just as good as the food the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure our grill was always clean and hot. They checked in just the right amount without hovering. For the price, the lunch special is a fantastic deal great portions, great quality, and a fun dining experience overall. Definitely worth coming back again soon!
I totally forgot to take pictures during this my first visit to this great place. I had been reading reviews on this place for at least two years, and honestly they weren’t too good. But a few months ago I noticed the place had shut down for some improvements. Today when checked online it said it was open, so I finally decided to stop by and check it out, and I’m glad I did. First off they offer like a three to four hour lunch special on a daily basis. I believe it’s their starter menu and they only charge $19.99, but it’s only until 3:00. I arrived at the location at around 3:05 so I was late for the special. In which case the starter menu goes up to $35.99, which for a person like myself is a substantial hike in price. Needles to say I paid the regular price as I missed the 3:00pm deadline. All that said, the price was worth it. The food was all very fresh. The wait wasn’t extremely long, and the service was phenomenal, which for me goes a long way. I had a young lady by the name of Paradise taking care of me, and she was very attentive, welcoming, always smiling, and just all around a great waitress. By the way, the rest of the crew was doing a fantastic job as well. All of them check on you continually to see if you need anything at all. I am so glad I checked this place out. I know I’ll be visiting again soon.
Footnote: there is an automatic 15% gratuity charge added to your bill, but I was more than glad to pay it.
We’ve been here twice once before the remodel and once after the remodel. The first experience before the remodel was like 2 stars or 3 stars. Bad customer service before the remodel. After the remodel it was much better in customer service. It was still lacking a bit. First the waitress was attentive and nice but we had to asked her politely 2-3 times to refill our water. We made sure to place our water when it’s almost empty to the front of our table so she will notice but every time she ignores it. She was a bit annoying. She kept asking how are we doing when literally we have our mouth full of foods that made it hard to reply back. Plus all the times she came to our table to ask us how we’ve been doing never once she thought of refilling our water cups. I was dying of thirst but luckily my significant other decided to ask her politely for a refill. Especially when I was stretching the water out until we can get her attention to refill our water. She told us the pitcher is heavy to carry around so she will bring it shortly. I do understand that, so we brush it off since they are busy. But it happened the whole time we sat there eating not once she offered to refill our water cups without us calling for her attention to refill. Our grill dirty. She also never gave us our rice paper that we asked for politely in the beginning of our meal. She told us they are prepping it but she never brought it to us throughout the whole time we were seated there eating. I just don’t understand that. She could have told us directly if they don’t have any at all or so. We decided to remove one star for the service mainly because we have to ask for a refill of our water cups. The food isn’t all that fresh in my opinion. I had diarrhea while still eating at the restaurant. It had to come out right away during the meal. And once more at home. The marinated meats taste a bit off for certain one in my opinion. The only fresh tasting meat was the sliced frozen meats and non marinated meats in my opinion. I wished they had a selection of dipping sauce for the non marinade meats. Or at least some salt n pepper seasoning or so. I think they had soy sauce but you have to asked the waiter and waitress for it. I made my own dipping sauce with whatever they had at the bar station. I do love the idea of having the unlimited self-serve meat bar, vegetable bar, and banchan bar but sadly no ice cream or dessert for ending the meal off beside oranges and can pineapple. My significant other and I felt a bit off though when we overheard one of their employee injure themselves badly that needed to go to the hospital for stitches. It made us lost our appetite while overhearing the incident. I hope the employee is ok after getting the stitches. We were seated in the private room area with a few tables which was awesome. I love the privacy but the distance to get up and grab the self-serve bar section was a bit far but not too bad compared to the other seating location in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this location for anyone craving all you can eat Korean BBQ in the inland empire with an unlimited self-serve bar section for lunch specials of $19.99 from 12pm-3pm as of right now. WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️ They automatically charge gratuity 15% even if it’s only 2 people. They charge $15 for leftovers if it’s a whole plate of meat or so. If it’s a little leftover you will not be charged. You can be your own judge and give this place a try!! This will be our 2nd choice of an all you can eat Korean BBQ locations. Our first location is a place called Koreana Grill buffet style restaurant located in Riverside, CA on Magnolia Avenue the best all you can eat Korean BBQ with unlimited everything. I love Koreana Grill buffet style restaurant (You should check that place out. You’ll definitely fall in love with the assortment of dishes and they have self-serve ice cream)!!!!
Pros: The serve yourself meat and sides bar is well stocked with the classics, meat flavor and quality is decent, sides are good, the lunch special price is very reasonable, and service was decent.
Cons: Flies are becoming an issue here, they need to install an industrial air curtain (fly fan) at the entrance to help with this as food is sitting uncovered at the serve yourself meat and sides bar. The a/c in this place is mediocre at best, they have a few floor fan/units around to try to help, but with the older style above the grill exhaust system they have here it makes the place get relatively hot, even when you are just waiting to be seated, so just imagine how warm it gets when you are cooking at the table.
Neutrals: I think it’s important to note that an automatic 15% gratuity is included for every order regardless of how many people are dining which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it, luckily so far we haven’t ran into any bad servers. The rice paper here is a hit or miss, sometimes its good, sometimes its not so good, but we get the vibe that its not ordered as often as most Korean BBQ spots so sometimes it takes them a while to bring it out. Limited seating so, sometimes the wait times are long 1.5hr+, sometimes you’re seated within 20 minutes.
Overall/tips for the owner: Overall, this spot has solid potential and satisfies the craving for Korean BBQ with good meat variety, tasty sides, and fair pricing especially for the lunch special. However, some operational issues like flies, heat, and inconsistent wait times keep it from being top-tier just yet. With a few improvements, it could easily become a go-to local favorite.
