Another stop on my never ending journey to try all sf popular burger places. Had to trek out to Noe Valley for this spot and it was worth the commute. Good burger and fries to be found here. And they have Barqs rootbeer on fountain.

I have visited this place for the first time and it’s not going to be the last time. I will definitely be back. They make the best smash burger ever in a toasted sesame buns. Perfect balanced garlic fries and the crispiest onion rings. So delicious. They are very welcoming and very nice warm people. I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves burgers and delicious food.

Walked by this spot often and always loved how friendly they were so I stopped in for a double cheeseburger – was honestly blown away! Solid juicy grilled patties and fresh ingredients – doesn’t leave you feeling too “greasy” after either. Went back twice! Def one of my fave burger spots!!

Good prices and nice staff, I also really really enjoyed the fries! Unfortunately that’s about it though. I got the double cheese burger here and was quite surprised how underwhelming it was. It was pretty bland and nothing really brought any life to it, I was dunking it in ketchup just to get some flavor… I heard good things about this place so was really looking forward to it. Maybe I came in on an off night but I don’t see myself making the trek out here again sadly! Although maybe for the fries 🙂

Another amazing meal at Hi Way. As always, the burgers were tasty and huge. We also ordered Garlic Fries and a couple shakes.

April 2025:
Stopped by for burgers and fries. The place was very busy. Lots of people eating here and to go orders. So we waited a little longer than I expected… But the wait was well worth it.

I had a chicken sandwich that was very tasty. Our food was cooked to order, which made everything fresher and delicious .

Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Will definitely be back again for more delicious food.

Used to be great but now it has been “door dashed”. When you eat there you are competing for service with half a dozen delivery drivers cycling through. Food is bad now, and so is the service. Come on folks, if you want to be a ghost kitchen, be a ghost kitchen, but don’t provide this awful food and experience.

A Modern Western Vibe with a Twist in Noe Valley

Tucked into a corner in San Francisco’s charming Noe Valley, this burger spot feels like stepping onto the set of an old Western—if the saloon served plant-based patties and endless condiments. The atmosphere has a modern-meets-classic charm, and while the staff weren’t exactly rolling out a red carpet, their neutral reception kept things casual and unpretentious.

I went for the Beyond Meat Burger, and here’s where I confess: I forgot to add cheese. A rookie mistake, and one I won’t be making again. The burger itself was flavorful, though I couldn’t help but notice that the Beyond Meat option costs more than its meaty counterpart—a quirk I’m still trying to process. Still, it earns a solid 7/10 in my book.

What really stood out were the little extras. The self-serve station was a treasure trove of condiments: mayo, chili sauce, BBQ sauce, pickles, jalapeños—you name it. And the free drink refills? Always a win. But the true MVP? The sweet potato fries. Crispy, golden perfection.

All in all, this spot serves up a solid burger experience with a side of Noe Valley charm. It’s the kind of place you’d happily wander into after a stroll, cowboy hat optional.
