They have an extensive buffet for lunch. We went on a Saturday and it was the full buffet. The food was delicious, and the service was very good too. You had your choice of masala, Tiki’s, tandoori chicken, biryani, kofta, salad, chutney, Naan bread, even chai tea…so much more! You could order off of the menu if you didn’t want the full buffet.This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to!

We stopped in here with Cajun Food Tours to taste test some deliciously authentic Indian food. OMG!! This was our first experience with this delicacy and boy was it superb!! We cannot wait to head back to try more from their menu!! The owners wife was very hospitable and friendly! We tried chicken curry, world famous naan bread, a cauliflower app that tickled the taste buds, and 2 different flavored chutney. We were absolutely surprised and satisfied. Thanks so much for an awesome experience and tasteful meal!

I would like to share my wonderful experience with Destination India Restaurant. We recently celebrated my baby boy’s birthday there, and everything was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was exceptional.
The owner is an incredibly kind and understanding person. Even with very short notice, he arranged the entire party smoothly and supported us in every aspect throughout the event. We had around 55 guests, including both adults and children, and everyone loved the food and the atmosphere.
We truly appreciate the effort, care, and professionalism shown by the restaurant team. It made our celebration memorable, and we are very happy with the overall experience.

Food here was fantastic. The butter chicken and garlic naan was amazing. The waiter asked my preferred spice level and I said spicy. And trust me when you say you want spicy then they do it haha. Loved the food, will definitely be back. The goat curry on the menu sounded very enticing.

This is a local hidden gem. My mom and I stopped in just wanting to try something different and man this place was GOOD. Mr. Shan (sorry if I misspelled his name) was so personable and kind and really made us feel welcome. We did the buffet and tasted everything and loved all of it. I cannot say enough good things about the food and the service. We will definitely be back and you should swing by and try it too.

Visited last night on a Cajun Food tour. I’d been eyeing this place for a while and haven’t gotten to stop in. Kicking myself that I haven’t tried sooner! We were able to try the cauliflower appetizer (which was fantastic) followed by the chicken curry (also delicious) and garlic naan (which might be my new favorite ever.) Owners were so kind, welcoming and willing to explain everything to us. Can’t wait to come back during the weekend for the buffet!

Today my daughter and I decided to try Destination India because we had heard good things about it. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived.
When we walked in, there was no one at the front to greet us or let us know if we could seat ourselves, so we waited awkwardly at the door for a while. The waitress eventually noticed us, but she seemed extremely tired or simply uninterested in being there. Her attitude made the welcome feel very uninviting.
Our food took quite a long time to arrive, especially considering that we were basically the only customers in the restaurant at the time. I was also surprised to learn that it was not the buffet we expected. When the food finally came out, it did not meet our expectations.
To make matters worse, the bill felt excessive for the amount of food we received. The restaurant itself also lacked ambience—there was complete silence the entire time, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and awkward.
We really wanted to like this place and gave it a fair try, but unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning.

Writing this review a bit late, but this place was too good to resist writing one. We were visiting from Texas during Christmas and away from home, and I was so thankful to find Destination India Restaurant open. The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken 65, and chicken tikka masala—everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. This place is now on our list, and whenever we’re in Lafayette, this will be the only place we consider for dining out, especially since they serve halal dishes. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing. I came in on a rainy day looking for something filling, and a nice cup of tea. Destination India did not disappoint. To may surprise they had an all-you-can-eat buffet, the food was amazing. Everything I consumed was hot and delicious. The chai tea was warm and it hit the spot. Swathi was absolutely amazing, she was attentive and had a very pleasant demeanor. Destination India will absolutely be added into my rotation.
