Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I was picking up a delivery order and stood there for about 10 minutes before my presence was even acknowledged and another 20-25 before the order was even ready. When I asked if everything was there, because my screen showed 9 items and there appeared to only be about 5-6 the worker caught a little bit of an attitude and told me, “Well that’s not what they paid for,” as if I wasn’t looking at the order on my screen. I have an identical experience every single time I show up to this location and something needs to change. If you don’t want to deal with the people in the lobby, then close the lobby. Otherwise, do your job and learn basic customer service, it’ll take you a lot further.

The burgers are MASSIVE!!! so are the drinks and fries! I couldn’t get over how big they were lol. Ranch is $.75 a packet. Shoestring fries were delicious. I couldn’t finish my food. Definitely a tasty meal. Not bad for $11

Food wasn’t too great. Luke warm sandwich that couldn’t melt the cheese. Fries were hot and delicious though. The star of the show was Noel! He was so kind and patient taking my order. Was So pleasant to speak to at the window. And he was running around doing it all. High five Noel! You’re appreciated. The service saved the lunch experience since the food was just okay. I probably won’t be back to this location

If you’re lucky enough to have Gramz (Ms. Carolyn) take your order—it’ll be one of your best fast food experiences. She is attentive, extremely patient and will even offer up some great suggestions. I hope to see her the next time I’m in the city.

I ordered thru a delivery service so I’m unsure of the service, but my food was FIRRREEEE!! I got a garlic onion burger, absolute perfection and it wasn’t too greasy like some other places with similar options. We also got chicken strips and toast and they were great as well, chicken cooked to perfection

At 9:50pm it was not that busy. Only about a 5-10min wait, 10 is even pushing it. We ordered two chicken strip meals with gravy. We added on $1.50 worth of extra sauces. We only received 3 sauces. No gravy. The chicken strips were dark and tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in a while. The fries were chewy and cool. We almost drove away without our drinks. Luckily we remembered before the guy walked away. Also the way the lanes are set up makes it very inconvenient to leave if your food gets there before the people ahead of you or if you decide not to stay in line. We didn’t receive a proper receipt with prices and store numbers and such. On top of that, the website will not allow me to write a review. I prefer to do these critiques privately but I was not allowed that opportunity.

First time ever trying WhataBurger. The lady on the night shift drive thru Grims should be the WhataBurger spokesperson! She is very friendly and knowledgeable about the company’s history. It was what a burger should taste like

Lots of new issues. Hasn’t been as good as when it first opened. DoorDash get huge priority, so much that my online order isn’t even started until I wait in the lobby for 15 minutes. All the employees that made this store in the beginning good seem replaced. Stuff is never stocked or ready like the sweet tea. Always hear “oh the other shift didn’t do it” and that’s at different times of day over multiple visits. I will always pick the Webb City location over this one. Shame since Joplin Whataburger is on my commute

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was disappointing enough to warrant one. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed disinterested and cold. We weren’t greeted properly, and it felt like we were bothering them just by being there.
The cashier was particularly rude — curt responses, no eye contact, and absolutely no effort to make us feel welcome. When we politely asked about a menu item, we were met with a sigh and an eye-roll. It was uncomfortable, and frankly, unprofessional.
The food was average at best, but even great food wouldn’t have made up for the way we were treated. Customer service matters, and this place clearly doesn’t prioritize it. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

First time eating Whataburger, decided on breakfast. Ordered the Breakfast bowl with sausage and jalepeno biscuit. According to the picture on the menu AND the website, the build of the breakfast bowl is as follows: biscuit, gravy, scrambled eggs, 2 hash brown sticks, cheddar jack cheese and your choice of sausage or bacon. Here was the ingredients i could see on my bowl: jalepeno biscuit cut in half and laid in the bowl, scrambled eggs, gravy and a sausage patty. Hash brown sticks on the side (4), and zero cheese. I did NOT ask for no cheese. I cut the sausage, and mixed into the bowl and found a 1/2 of a regular biscuit in the bottom. My jalepeno biscuit was very over done so the top was all I could eat. I guess it was a good thing the extra 1/2 biscuit was in the bowl. The sausage was overcooked as well. I placed my order at 9:36 am, got up to the window at 9:48 am, almost given the wrong order. Pulled away at 9:51 am. The food was hot, but typical fast, greasy spoon food. The organization of how the orders were being taken and matched with the correct cars appeared a bit chaotic. The lady asked me about 2 orders before she said my name. Not impressed at all.
