We visited as a group on a hot afternoon, and the experience was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious — tasty, authentic, and full of flavour. I’m a huge fan of dosas, and this place definitely satisfied my cravings. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go. The staff were friendly, and the service was great. A must-visit spot for South Indian food lovers!

This is my favourite spicy place in Swansea for food right now.
It is delicious. We had so many different dishes and is buget friendly.

I have been here multiple times now and the food just seems to get better and better each visit!

This place came very close to authentic South Indian flavors, and it was a real treat. The dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and comforting — just like home. A satisfying experience overall!

I came with my friend after watching Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Both ordered King fish green mango curry! A little bit too spicy for us – the waiter did warn us, super delicious though! Will definitely come back again!

I spent some time in India and ate Dosa almost every day and when I came back to Swansea, I was trying to find somewhere that served it. That’s how I found Banana Leaf. Absolutely loved it. I went for the Mutton masala dosa and it did not disappoint. I’d say the menu here is more authentic than other restaurants I have come across in Swansea and the staff were incredibly friendly. This will definitely become my regular.

I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken biryani from Banana Leaf on 20/02/2025 at 10:30 PM, that is last night and it was honestly the worst experience ever. I specifically asked for the food to be spicy, but instead of cooking it properly, they just threw raw chili powder on the rice. To make things worse, the chicken in the fried rice wasn’t even properly fried—it felt undercooked and completely tasteless. It was inedible, not just for me but for my friend as well.

After eating it, my stomach got upset, and the whole experience was extremely disappointing. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially when customers are paying good money for a meal. If this restaurant wants to keep its customers, they need to learn how to cook food properly and serve it with care. Throwing raw spices into a dish, serving undercooked chicken, and calling it “spicy” is not cooking—it’s negligence. My money was completely wasted, and I would not recommend this place unless they seriously improve their food quality and cooking standards.

Very good local restaurant with a fantastic team. Very clean. However too much black pepper in some of the food we ordered.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! It has become my go-to spot whenever I want to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Every time we come here, we’re greeted with warm, friendly service that makes us feel right at home. The atmosphere is perfect—cozy enough for a family dinner, but also lively and fun when I’m out with friends.
The food is consistently amazing. No matter what I order, it’s always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I’ve tried so many dishes on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed. Even the little details, like the appetizers and sides, show the same care and quality.
What really makes this place special, though, is how reliable it is. Every visit feels like a treat, and it’s become a place full of great memories for me and the people I love. If you’re looking for a spot that’s welcoming, delicious, and perfect for any occasion, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
