Had the Athenian Grilled chicken. Done perfect and was clearly marinated as the flavor evolved as you eat. They clearly do the hard prep instead of quick slop. Hats off to them

I ate here with friends. Plates were void of food when we left. I don’t recall the name of the dish I ate and it was delicious!!!! It was served on sourdough teff. Love teff!!! The owner/manager was super friendly and informative, explained how all the dishes were prepared along with their nutritional value. I definitely recommend this wonderful dining establishment!!!!

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was so delicious. The vegan mezze platter was amazing and I had the vegan stew for my main. I couldn’t believe how fresh and tasty the food was.
I was definitely in need of a good healthy meal and I was not disappointed, you won’t be either if you eat here when in Louisville.
I would highly recommend to anyone, especially vegans!!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is AMAZING! The owners are friendly, food was great, and prices are reasonable.
My wife and I ordered way to much and the portion sizes are big!

Absolutely delicious! Great quality and authenticity regarding the cuisine. Great service. Good vibes and atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a solid plate. The Athenian chicken and chicken kabobs were delicious (though I would get the Athenian chicken again bc I dont see if offered alot of places). Im also usually not a big fan of hummus and salad, but those were completely devoured here as well. Rice is cooked and seasoned to perfection.

7/5 if I could. Excellent across the board! Owners are awesome, super friendly and insanely courteous! Best lamb and falafel in the city. Period. The rule is, “if the lamb’s good, it’s all good” friends. Definitely coming back here for my Mediterranean fix.

I first tried Addis when I worked downtown in 2011. I absolutely loved it then, but changed jobs and I hadn’t had it again until tonight.
I’m happy to say it’s just as delicious as it was then, maybe even better. The restaurant itself is much improved, the prices have gone up (no surprise there), and the proprietors are as nice and friendly as can be.
Can’t wait to go back!

One of the best Ethiopian Restaurants I have eaten at.
Service was great, food was terrific! They use real Teff Injera and the portions were good. Ordered a mixed plate that had all the vegetables with Beef, Chicken, and got Lamb as well.
Food took a little bit to come out, but it was worth the wait.
Reasonably priced as well. Would recommend.

The food was delicious, with generous portions that everyone in our group enjoyed. Even the vegetarians among us were very happy with their meals. Abhi (if I heard the owner’s name correctly) was knowledgeable and friendly, which added to the great experience.
The bourbon collection was impressive, and the prices were quite reasonable.
Next time we’re in Louisville, we’ll definitely make it a point to come back for lunch or dinner!
