One of my very favorite things to do is dine out, enthusiastically exploring the food scene wherever I go. Winona’s was everything I could’ve wanted and more! Devin & Hannah are the dynamic duo behind top-notch customer service paired and plated with flavor combinations that are out-of-this-world extraordinary! My husband and I sampled one of everything. Each dish was delivered intentionally, coming out at the prefect time, delivered at the perfect temperature, in the perfect proportions. Bravo! We can’t wait to return.

It seems that 6 stars is not possible, that’s a shame. This is a very special spot run by two passionate people that seem to be living their dream rather than running a business. We came for our anniversary, and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food left us speechless at times. Every dish was something we couldn’t get enough of, and will be a memory for a while. We went with the chef’s rec and got one of everything and it was perfect. Each dish was unique and memorable in its own way. I’d say trust the menu and get it all. But, above all was the feeling of being welcomed into Winona’s; it’s less common that you feel your hosts are just excited as you to make your experience something to remember. I don’t know how often you can go out to a restaurant and have a duo like Hannah and Devin curate something so special, in terms of both the food and hospitality, so take advantage. We will surely be coming back to Camden just for this.

Living in Northport and not making it out nearly enough sometimes I’m tough to impress—but Winona’s completely charmed us tonight. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined, and the service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can tell the team here loves what they do, and it shows.
We especially appreciated the early dinner service! Being able to sit down for an incredible meal at 4pm felt like such a treat. It’s rare to find a spot that feels this special and the flavor of the dishes were out of this world.

Winona’s is a cozy 20-seat gem in the heart of Camden, Maine, with a charming bohemian-modern vibe. Owners Hannah Adams and chef Devin Dearden deliver a memorable slow-food experience with several courses meant to be savored. Hannah’s wine pairings are spot-on, and Devin’s dishes are pure artistry. Cooking in the main dining area, it’s like watching a brilliant artist live painting. His flavors are simple and complex at the same time- using the best local ingredients. Highlights: the halibut crudo with a cheery-lime Ponzu sauce with radishes and monkfish skewer with velvety garlicky corn purée. Dessert was a luscious square of decadent salty fudge. The seasonal menu changes every two weeks, and knowing they built Winona’s without investors makes it even more impressive. First visit, but definitely not the last.

This newcomer to the Maine Coast dining scene is most certainly here to stay and to make a difference. Wow! What a treat to have dined at this jewel of a restaurant. The freshness of the ingredients, the creativity without the fussiness, the surprise in almost every dish (rhubarb BBQ glaze? Chicken fat for poaching? And the puffed wild rice could have been a snack by itself!) – is what great food should be about. The small plates are for sharing – and we ordered one of each. The wine list was small but thoughtful. We do not live here, but an evening at Winona’s could just be enough reason to fly up from Durham for another great meal.

Usually, I am not a solo diner, and when I do go out by myself it’s more than likely to a place I’ve been before because I like comfort and familiarity. However, I could not pass up trying this spot having looked at their food online – and I always love a restaurant that has a straightforward menu! (Plus, they have a cat as their logo! Who doesn’t love an adorable mustached kitty?) It was a wonderful evening from start to finish. Server and host Hannah made sure everyone felt welcome regardless if they were a first time visitor like myself or had been in before.
The food was incredible. Some of their combinations were things I wouldn’t normally pair (salmon with mustard for instance). I enjoyed every dish I ordered (poached oyster, beet salad, salmon, and fudge). If I had less self control I would have probably ordered a dozen of those oysters. The mood and ambience was chill, cool, and bespoke (in the absolute best use of that word) which made the dining experience even better. As a side note, I loved the playlist – kudos to the staff for having a great ear for music.
I left full, happy, and inspired to come back.
Looking forward to many a return visit whenever my travels take me up to the Midcoast.

Loveliest experience. All the details seem carefully chosen. Each ingredient is precisely selected and sourced from local farms and fisheries. The vibe is gentle, open, and warm.
We ate one of everything, perfect to split between two. Difficult to pick a single favorite – I had the sensation of listening to a whole album, rather than hearing just a couple songs.

No questions, probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Maine. Such sweet folks running the spot too. The atmosphere was chill and cozy. But not distracting from the reason you’re there, the food. Amazing! This place is sure to blow up, so get in while you can. Worth the drive if you’re from outta town. I know I’ll be back! Thank you!!!
