Not only was the service incredible, but also the atmosphere. There are plenty tables and counter space. It’s a gorgeous place and truly feels like a piece of new york was picked up and moved to phoenix.
Last but CERTAINLY not least, the food. This bagel was seriously the best bagel I have had outside of new york. The build your own bagel was something I had never experienced before and was an incredible experience. We also got their salted caramel cinnamon roll, little italy latte, banana hazelnut latte, and the upper east side latte. The iced coffees come in cans and added to the experience in the absolute best way. We also got a chocolate egg cream, which I haven’t had in many years.
I will absolutely be back and I’m counting down the minutes till then.
What really made the visit stand out though was the service. Stephanie was amazing! She was super friendly and had the most positive vibes. Her french toast latte recommendation was truly one of the best.
Great food, great coffee, and incredible service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The space itself is gorgeous, bright, modern, and Instagram worthy but still warm and inviting. You can sit down and enjoy full service or order quick from the deli counter.
The food blew us away. The bagels are next level: perfectly fresh and chewy with just the right crisp on the outside and soft airy centers, some of the best we have ever had in Arizona. The house made chive and antipasti cream cheeses were incredible. We also tried the chopped chicken Caesar sandwich, which was great, but honestly the bagels stole the show.
Every detail feels cared for, and the whole team made us feel like regulars on our first visit. If you are not checking out The Delicatessen yet, you are missing out. This place is easily 5 out of 5 Top Rahmun bowls. Can’t wait to come back.
Matthew welcomed us immediately as we walked in the door, as he did with everyone. Since it was our first time, Matthew explained the entire ordering options very clearly. We spotted Matthew throughout our visit making his way to each table to ensure satisfaction. We both had breakfast bagel sandwiches which were incredible— quality ingredients and delicious flavors! We will share with friends & family. See you soon
The hosts and servers are attentive and making sure that guests have a pleasant experience. The bagels are authentic with the crisp outer crust and tender inside. Potato pancakes are delicious and gratefully handmade not fresh frozen. Servings of soup and salad are generous and heard from a dear friend that the Reuben is great. The coleslaw is dressed lightly with poppy seed vinaigrette rather than gloppy mayo. Thank you Chef Joey for leading the way for attentive food preparation.
The pastries are inviting and I will be back to “The” Delicatessen as a stand out. Note happy faces on all of us happy customers
The bad – The bagels were a little dry and the lox cream cheese blend tasted off. Also, the nearly 6 dollar black and white cookie was sadly way off the mark as it was dry and gritty. One would lack any joy of biting into these cookies as they missed all of their intended cakey, moist texture and the icing was hard and largely flavorless.
The surprise – The coffee options were outstanding and very tasty. I highly recommend the banana coffee. Also, lots of gf options! The price tag was a bit steep as well, but worth it for the sandwich, egg cream, and coffee.
