I got 3 different pupusas to go, been wanting to try this place for awhile now that I live so close. The atmosphere was very warm and homey, they even have a little tv and fireplace inside for the cold days. You can see tight back to the kitchen and see the chef making the food. The server was very sweet and showed that the menu has an English and Spanish side. The pupusas took 7 minutes, but thwre was only one woman back in the kitchen when I stopped by, which is okay! The food was still nice and warm when I got it home, and it was certainly delicious. The green sauce has a kick so not for me, but I definitely liked the red tomato-based sauce! Definitely will return.

We ate lunch here for the first time today and it was awesome! The papusas and tacos were fantastic, and I can’t wait to go back to try everything else. The pickled slaw and accompanying sauces were the perfect addition. The staff greeted us with warm smiles, and were very kind. We are glad to have a place like this so close to the heart of town! An instant classic.

Worth a visit, PLEASE try the authentic pupusas, don’t go here for “Mexican food”. appreciate the culture . This is Salvadoran food . The mother and daughter who work here are gems! I visited El Salvador last year and been dreaming of a pupusa since. I found this place one day walking by. definitely a hidden gem! We got pupusas, pastelitos, plantains- my fave, and agua frescas. Everything is fresh, delicious and made to order. Amidst talking with the woman she gave us a dessert empanada not yet on the menu and it was by far one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Cant wait to return as much as possible

This is a hidden gem in McKees rocks. These were actually some of the best pupusa I’ve ever had. They were hot and cheesy! There wasn’t much chicken in it but I’ve never had a pupusa anywhere stuffed with chicken or even cheese to be honest. This was the most cheese I’ve had in one. I usually don’t even get them because of past experiences, they were always underwhelming. But these….were good! Put that curtido and hot sauce and these might be my new addiction. I almost went back in to buy more but I tried not to be greedy lol I recommend eating them there to get the cheese pull and freshness.

Delicious Salvadorean food in McKee’s Rocks on Broadway. At $4 per pupusa (fried corn patty with filling) had to try several of them. The cheese was nice and rich, super filling. Loved the earth taste of the loroco one and the crunchy chicharrón. The curtido that came with was zesty and had nice vinegar flavor. People working that evening were super nice too. Enjoyed coming here and give it 5 stars.

First time trying pupusas here on their opening weekend and they did not disappoint! I had a chicken pupusa, a pork pupusa, and a chorizo taco. Each were only $4 and I left very satisfied and having only spent $12. This is authentic, good stuff, and I recommend it to everybody.

As a Californian, I didn’t expect to find superior tacos and papusa in the Rocks of Pittsburgh. Very superior, I’ll be grabbing more whenever I can.
