The food was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The team created a warm and welcoming experience from start to finish. Pricing felt fair and reasonable for the quality offered. This was a desperation stop. I wanted a margarita and enchiladas. So we headed to Detroit only to find every Mexican restaurant slammed out the door. I refuse to wait 45 minutes to eat anywhere.
So we headed back downriver. Every place was slammed. I looked on Google and ended up here. Haven’t been here in 20 years.
Things happen for a reason. Great experience. Excellent service. Fresh Homemade Food. Tasty margarita.
I judge Mexican restaurants on the beans and the beef. Main the grease level. Both here were clean. Beans were very good, and the beef wasn’t greasy. Beef was also very clean. No rocks or grizzle.
The inside is dated, but I don’t hold that against any place as long as Food and Service is spot on.
The young man that was our server was tentative and polite. We definitely will be back.

Comfy classic Mexican dinner place
The decor feels straight out of my childhood in Texas, and the flavors are just as classic.
Everything I got was tasty and a good size.
My favorite was the fried ice cream. Fantastic!
The fried chimichanga was pretty good, and the tacos were great.
Extremely friendly service too.
Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed, probably!

The food was not worth the money. A small basket of chips. They charge for more and also for more salsa. One tasted like tomato juice and the other was extremely hot. The shells of the taco reminded me of the wrap to make egg rolls. They were not a traditional corn or flour tortilla. The refried beans had no flavor. We were the only customers so the service was good. I won’t be going back!
