Visited for the 1st time on 1/7/24. Quite impressed. The food , 8oz Steak , creamy potatoes & side salad were delicious, my only negative is that i would have preferred red or white onion in the salad instead of the regular one. My dinner date thoroughly enjoyed his 1/2 rack pepper lamb with veg & coleslaw. We both had the House Bentley which was made well and refreshing. The in house customer service was excellent. I must also mention the car park attendant, who was welcoming and wished us an enjoyable dining experience as well as a safe journey home upon our departure. Balthazar you exceeded my expectations with both your food & customer service. Will definitely revisit.

I’ve visited Balthazar many times, and every experience has been great. I’ve tried dishes from their Thai, Chinese, and American menus, and everything tastes delicious. The flavors are always on point. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, so it’s a great spot no matter the weather. Plus, there’s parking available, which makes it super convenient. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the mood for tasty fusion food.

Did a quick lunch drop in here and immediately got seated. Got the order in, a lil mix and match, and food came out really quickly I was really surprised by that, it’s like they had things prepared ahead of time
The food was good I highly recommend the hongkong mushrooms and plantain and I enjoyed the Sui Mai dumplings and chunky veg as well but the sweet and sour chicken and baked potato were disappointing.
The menu definitely has a lot of options so I’ll go back and report back

I recently dined at this restaurant and enjoyed several aspects of the experience. The rice, shrimp wontons, and atmosphere were all excellent. However, the chicken fell short—it lacked the traditional Chinese flavor, small and was a bit too oily and BBQ-like. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying for the price. The waitress was friendly, but I felt that the 15% service charge covered the tip. Overall, I’d recommend and dine here again

I have been eating here for many many years. Been eating with the establishment throughout their moves and changes for about 35yrs. My parents used to eat here before having kids hahaha.
The food quality has NEVER changed. Just as good, consistency is key. There’s everything from Chinese, Thai, Aunthenic Indian, finger food, fancy drinks etc… I have eaten so many things from their menu as well and all passed.
The service is always wonderful and the owner pops up ever so often as well.
Not a fancy esthetic but definitely the most consistently great tasting food I have had.
Price point vs portions is also excellent!

We ate purely from the Thai part of the menu: it was all excellent. Pad Thai came together nicely with the beef red curry and black pepper shrimp. Starters were delicious as well. The place has a nice cozy ambience about it too.

One of the Best Chinese food options in Couva , if not indeed the best… Wonderful staff and taste is great… A bit Pricey and Portions are partially Small… But I’ll still patronize once my funds reading Rite… I also want to recognize one of the best staff members Neil..
