I really do like this place. I always like their food and The staff seems nice. The only thing is that they kind of take a long time to get back to your table if you need something. But overall, I recommend.

Came here and was so happy to find there was no line to get a table when there was a line at mama kat’s. Turns out, this place has way better food than Mama Kat’s! No line to get a table at breakfast, the food came out quickly, our server was a very nice woman, the food was delicious, and the restaurant is clean, with lots of beautiful natural light coming in the windows. I absolutely recommend this place.

I was driving around yesterday morning, looking to get me a breakfast burrito from somewhere,……anywhere, when I saw this place, Pegah’s Kitchen and figured they should have breakfast burritos and, sure enough, they did. So I walked into this place and found the charm of an old timey family owned style dinner. I was immediately greeted by the nice, soft-spoken gentleman behind the counter. I asked him if I could place an order to go. He said “sure” so I checked out the menu and discovered that they use 3 eggs in their breakfast burritos BUT they don’t offer a combination of breakfast meats(sausage, ham and/or bacon) like many other breakfast burrito joints do. No, you are to choose only 1 of the 3. Sure, you can get all 3 meats, if you like, but they’ll charge you extra for it. So I ordered mine with bacon and sausage and then I threw them a curveball by requesting my eggs to be cooked over medium, instead of the standard scramble. (I highly recommend that you try it like that next chance you get, it changes the whole dynamic of the flavor output of your breakfast burrito). He looked at me as if I were crazy when I ordered my eggs like that. I added a large Coke(no Coke, Pepsi, and 24 oz. was their largest cup) to my order and politely said “that is all”. When he rang me up and gave me the total, I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it. 1 breakfast burrito w/extra meat and 1 large Pepsi came out to be $24 and some change. Outrageous!!! Preposterous!!! Even the extra egg and extra meat does not, can not justify charging so much for a breakfast burrito and a soda. Not at a diner. Not anywhere. The burrito was good but not $10 extra worth of good. I doubt I’ll be going there again and if you decide to check it out for yourself, make sure to bring your money….lots of it.

Decent breakfast place. On par with IHOP or Dennys. Open from 6am to 2pm, no dinner service. About $40 to feed 2 adults with 1 ice tea, all in. Crowded during peak times, but still fast and pleasant service. For the category of quick breakfast cafe, it’s very decent. The place is fairly clean, doesn’t smell, and isn’t too loud. Overall pleasant. The table and bench needed to be wiped down for crumbs, but wasn’t sticky. Our server was efficient and knowledgeable of the menu. I had chicken fried steak with mashed potato and raisin toast with eggs over easy. Eggs cooked perfectly, toast was a great, and the chicken fried steak was juicy and not dry. Mashed potato was perfect, with real potato not instant. Will definitely come again. Very ADA compatible. Plenty of parking. Located in a strip mall. The only cafe in this part of town. They need a computer system and air curtains for the doors. We sat next to a door, and there were some flies. Ice tea was good.

Came for Mother’s Day Breakfast. At 7:02 am . There was just one gentlemen and we were the first family to walk in.
Overall wish the server was a bit nicer. I asked for more silverware and she sharply responded “I already put 5 “ one per person . considering I had two toddlers with me and silverware had fallen on the floor..
I asked for a extra spoon and got told pretty much no.
food was good nothing spectacular. will probably not return again just for the rudeness. I think the last time I came was when it was still called ‘San Marcos family restaurant’ ?

I wanted to check out this local spot after driving past it a couple of times. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.
We came in and made our order, which we were told would take about 15 minutes. It actually only took about 10, and they packed everything to-go nicely, and provided my party of 3 with condiments and utensils.
As for the food, I ordered the greek omelet, and it came with a choice of house potatoes or hash, and also came with two slices of toast, which they provide jam for. I opted for the greek omelet because it seemed like a healthier option and it had tons of toppings. It was very easy to eat as well. The plastic cutlery knife was able to slice right through it cleanly.
Happy to have discovered this spot and I will come again.

Best breakfast joint in San Marcos, hands down. The jalapeno hash is incredible and the service is prompt and provided with a smile. For bonus entertainment, sit near the kitchen and watch the cooks mess with the servers. Lots of fun.
