Perfect crab cakes Hon! Best in the city! Our Hosts were fantastic. Good dudes and excellent food. Our friend Paul can cook! We were in town for MICA graduate school tour, Fête of Lights Gala Celebration, Art Gallery Naming Ceremony, Amy Sherald @ BMA, MICA ICONS Panel and CRAB CAKES! My Duda’s did not disappoint! Highly recommend and will be back ASAP! Thanks guys! ✨️

Great local family-owned spot with extremely friendly and attentive service. The crab cake was very expensive ($30) but was really good, with large chunks of crab barely held together with a small amount of batter. However, I thought it should at least come with a salad or fries instead of a bag of chips and saltines for the price. The bartender/server was great though and made great recommendations for beers.

My wife and I stopped in for a drink and ended up having a great time with Dave and Paul. We were in town for a funeral and needed a break. These guys were awesome!!! Dave made us some drinks and Paul was our crabcake master. Do yourself a favor and stop in for one of Paul’s crabcakes and Dave’s boozy concoctions. We left feeling like we had just spent time with family. You guys rock!!!

We came across this spot while looking for a casual, reasonably priced place to spend our last night in Baltimore before heading back to Toronto—and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! David was incredibly welcoming and even shared some of the place’s history, despite his voice being under the weather. He was also taking song requests, which made for such a fun, personal touch. The crab dip is absolutely to die for! If I find myself back in the Baltimore area, I’ll be sure to pay this place a visit.

A true local gem with a welcoming atmosphere and an incredibly friendly bartender. The highlight of our visit was the crab cake—pure, unadulterated crab with no unnecessary fillers, just fresh, succulent crab meat encased in a perfectly crisp, golden-brown crust. Every bite was a delight! If you’re looking for an authentic experience with great service and amazing food, this spot is a must-visit.

Very poor service. The bartender forgot to put my food order in, but these things happen.
After finally getting my food and getting the check I noticed an extra beer was added to my tab. After asking for it to be removed the bartender says, “I didn’t think that you had two guilford’s.’. Which is a stupid comment, because why charge me for it, if you’re not sure that I ordered it?
The extra beer was indeed removed, but I don’t think that they should be attempting to charge customers based on guesswork.
Also the staff should wipe their hands if they’re going to eat on shift, so that they don’t get customer’s credit cards greasy when they run them.

Got back to my go to spot in Fells Point. I was there early to find it empty, but it soon started to fill in. Tried the Amish chicken soup, which was great followed by the fish and chips. Both were great and I was happy to have tried them. Check this place out if you are in the area.

Run-A-Way Bill
Baltimore, Maryland (Fells Point) —-

Many years ago (25+), Fells Point bars like “Duda’s Tavern” were true local hangouts.

My visit today shocked me to realize, “Duda’s Tavern” is more a tourist bar, with tourist-sized portions & tourist-sized food prices nowadays.

I ordered their “famous” crab cake and was shocked at how “tiny” it was. The crab cake featured true premium lump crab meat, just the least amount of it, for such a high price I have ever personally experienced anywhere in the entire state of Maryland.

The side of potato salad was in a mini-sized portion container, barely wide enough for my fork to reach into the 3 bite-sized portion.

My feeling is “Duda’s” has been around since 1949 and they have found what works for them.

I am not saying I will never order their “appetizer-sized” crab cake again, just saying don’t expect not a “meal” for $27. At least bump up the side portion container.

Drink prices are quite fair to inexpensive. I will just try other menu items on future visits.

I do like “Duda’s” bar atmosphere with the vintage glass-block windows. I will return to “Duda’s Tavern” for a Natty Boh and some smiles, whenever I return to Fells Point.

Bartender “Matty” gets a “Run-A-Way Bill” thumbs up .

“Run-A-Way Bill” was here!

My husband and I have lived in and around Baltimore for over 20 years and somehow never came across this place until just recently. Man, were we missing out! The crab cake and burger were each phenomenal and the bloody Mary’s were fantastic! The service was attentive but not overwhelming- just great. We will be back very soon!
